    Good Read

I was talking with a few of the locals in Cholla about this over New Years. According to them, GB's plan is to demo black mountain accross Cholla Bay to ground level and use the mountain material to build the sea wall and locks. I as well wish he would take care of business in Cholla first...

    Legal Services

Rosie, I have a bank trust issue that's been lingereing on for 7+ years now. The property is in Cholla, and according to the bank the people/ person that handled Cholla trust transfers resigned, and they have been in the process of training someone else. This has been going on for sometime...

Pay To Play On Competition Hill.

We visit the hill frequently when in Cholla. For the most part there's nobody there to collect, except for Sundays when the local jeep or hot rod club is having an hill climb event. Weather the proceeds go to the club or to Brown is anyones guess, and like most things in Mexico the fee is...

Stayed in Cholla last weekend with the wife and some friends, and on Saturday loaded up the toys and did a day trip to El Golfo. There was 25k people if there were 2. From the base of the light house hill to the water and as far as the eye could see down the beach...packed. Spending the...

    Sail shop

Cholla, Did you ever get your sail issue figured out? Were you able to find anyone one in RP, or did you have to go back to the states?

    Sail shop

No, I'm the drunk from Phx....lol FYI, this is not a shop/store, it's a house with a guy and his sewing machine in the living room. You might have to poke around a little bit, but you should be able to find him. BTW, what color are your sails and hull, when I'm down next time I'll look...

    Sail shop

I've kept a catamaran in Cholla for years and still do. I've also had the sail problems, mine were just seam failures needing sewing. The only place (guy) I found that did a fairly good job was located across the street from the enterance of the big hardware store located on Revolucion. Stand...

    Gringo Pass Store Closing.

Is just the store closing, or the whole mall? Will the place on the end where they sell cigarettes and booze close too?

Fans of rocky point event cancels, scapegoat sought

You're welcome Rosy, I saw your initial post yesterday and held off posting anything, thought I'd wait and see if she came on here with some kind of rebuttle. I don't know how you could feel partially to blame for any of this, you help people because you want to, and in some case's it's...

Fans of rocky point event cancels, scapegoat sought

She's posted here before, it was back when her and mexiruss had that video/commercial taped in Manny's, I beleive. Really caught my eye, because I didn't think two people could have the same name. Either way, how she handled this doesn't suprise in the least. Worked for me a few years ago...

    Known Business Closures

I'm sure it's been brought up already, but I was supprised to see what I was told is a new federal law of no smoking indoors anymore. Of course I was informed of this as I was holding my lit cigarette asking for an ashtray. I also heard, and hopefully some of the resturant/business owners...

How was the border crossing over Thanksgiving weekend?

Came home Sunday, crossed the border approx. 1:00pm, 5 cars ahead of me. Thought for sure it was going to be worse. Never made it in to town, but Cholla, JJ's, Sandy Beach were more crowded than I've seen in while.

Sonoyta Road to border blocked by local cars/trucks

Are you talking about right out Sonoyta, or the round about outside of RP? We went through ( heading North ) Nov.1st at 12:00pm when the supposed block was to start at the Laguna Del Mar turn off. There were a dozen Federallies vehicles dispersing the small crowd, went through with out a hitch.

    Golfing in P.P.

Well it appears it's off to somewhat of a promising start. Yes, best ball scramble for sure. I'll be in Cholla this weekend so I'll stop by Las Palomas and see what their schedule is. I'll also talk to the wife and see what she thinks a good number would be, and how to proceed from here. I'm...

    Golfing in P.P.

Beachgirl, that very well could be the hole, sure looks like it. Sr. Pescado, definatley toss up a report on the course, and remember head up, tail down...LOL Now for everyone else who enjoys chasing a little white ball around, who'd be interested in getting a mini-tournament put together...

    Golfing in P.P.

I've only played Las Palomas, once for JJ's first tournament, and the other with a group of friends. The course plays alot different than it looks from the street. You're right, it's not that interesting, but there are a few holes that'll give a run for your money, and it's nicely kept. One...
