    Whales 2018

Hopefully this link will work. My neighbors, while paddle boarding shot this video of two 20-25 ft long whale sharks cruising the beach along Miramar over Thanksgiving weekend...

The Elephant in the Room...THE WALL

I can’t blame anyone for wanting to improve their lot. The U.S. immigration policy is similar to a bag of angry cats and neither side politically acts in good stewardship. One thing for sure, the U.S. is an incredible rockstar when it comes to productivity and production...

    Santo Tomas pictures

I have had several dealings with this guy, total scam. My new tactic is to always follow someone through that particular part of town.

    Esmeralda Resort Ribbon Cutting

I was shocked when several years ago in San Juanico I rounded a corner on my dirt bike and ran up to a large windmill farm. San Jaunico at that time had only very long and unpaved roads as access. The surfers love this spot and call it Scorpion Bay.

    Chicago VS Penasco: weather

I know I could not handle a Midwest or Eastern winter but actually like the heat in the summer here.

    Chicago VS Penasco: weather

I am here in Chicago freezing at a niece’s soccer game at 35 degrees and sleety. Makes me unbelievably grateful for the time I have spent on our wonderful beaches and the the time I intend to spend in the near future in Mexico. Enjoy it all you can.

    Rocky Point or Baja Vacation

I have contracting work in West Phx and in Sunnyslope mostly due to property crime on commercial buildings. The problem is daunting. The homeless, unemployed, drug addicts, drunks or whatever they are defecate all over the properties , break water lines, break windows, damage HVAC systems, leave...

    Rocky Point or Baja Vacation

West Phoenix is the new Chicago. Only a small percentage of the assaults, burglaries, shootings and robberies are reported. What is reported is the continual deaths that make the news. Not sure how society devolved so far. I grew up in West Phoenix and never heard much of any crime happening...

    Rocky Point or Baja Vacation

I have never heard nor seen any news of this. Does not seem to be much if any solution.

    Rocky Point or Baja Vacation

Mexico needs to hire the Mossad and give them free reign to clean up this problem. I would bet in six months a majority of the cartels would be gone.

    Scorps on the beach

Yes, construction gets everything moving. There must be a heck of a lot of food sources on the beach to support such a huge population. I’ve been studying up on scorps and some varieties can live for more than 10 years. When we end up nuking ourselves I’m sure the scorps and roaches will be left...

    Scorps on the beach

Not well for me. I wondered if they were indigenous or brought in with construction materials. So interesting that in 20 years we never noticed them.

    Scorps on the beach

I am curious to see if we have dented the population yet. Also, I am wondering if we will find them when it is cold out. Have you checked your beach?

    Scorps on the beach

On the beach side of your house in and around the bushes and succulents. The number of scorps drops as you get closer to the beach and across the beach trail the guards drive on. We have not ventured beyond 2-3 lots in in either direction of my house [I am the the fourth lot from the Mayan end...

    Scorps on the beach

129 in two nights this weekend. This includes babies and big ones. None near the houses, they are all out on the sand. Creepy....

    Scorps on the beach

O.K. We are loaded with scorp hunting gear: blacklight headlamp & two large blacklight flashlights, extra long handled needle nose pliers and my new idea for scorpion beach extermination: a sharp machete.

Well... I Finally Pulled The Trigger (School Me Please)

It would be great if you had a friend on his own jet-ski to fish with you. Having a buddy boat along can help soooo much--I have been saved more than once just because I had another boat somewhat nearby to rescue me and vice-versa.

    Cholla Bay Old School

Any of you remember or deal with the Wilkerson clan who had a shack west of Club de Pesca or Spotts Willis and his place called the Boars Nest?

    Scorps on the beach

The big scorps were 2.5- 4 inches long, some were pretty fat. There were no middle size scorps so I wonder if the big ones are eating the little ones.

    Scorps on the beach

Most of these scorps wer 2.5-4 inches long. We were pretty shocked as to the high number and large sizes.
