Pay To Play On Competition Hill.

Quite true. When I used to frequent La Pinta back in the day, Nacho would come around and collect $5 for using the beach. Hell, I didn't care. It was a bargain to have complete access to such a pristine area. Often, there was somebody in the little shack by the gate that would collect a couple...

Well, unless the economy turns around a bit, about the only thing I'll be able to afford is a sleeping bag and a beach umbrella! Hey, home is wherever I put my fishing pole.

Fishing in the Sea of Cortez

"If I don't catch it, someone else will." The proliferation of squid is undeniable. The pangueros hit Lobos in vast numbers this year, camped out on the beaches, filling their pangas with squid each night. Large refrigerated semi-trucks waited on the beach to load the catch. I'm assuming to...

Interesting! Very minimal for sure. Probably okay for a day or two stay, but any longer than that and it would start to feel like a jail cell! The palapa area outdoors would be a big part of the living area for most of the year.

Fishing in the Sea of Cortez

I wasn't going to post this, but... Last trip to Lobos, we got back in from a fair day with a few chunky yellowtail and a decent grouper. Ted suggested we walk down the beach and check out what the pangueros had been catching. There were probably 15 pangas beached, cleaning fish. All kinds of...

Yeah, basically no booze sales at all before 8:00 AM. Found that out the hard way by not buying beer the night BEFORE a fishing trip! Funny... with the booze rules, the smoking rules, and all the other new laws that seem to have crept in during the past year or so, Penasco gets more and more...

Pp very busy and i need help on my boat eng.

I would buy new, Bill. If it overheated, you don't know how bad the metal is heat-stressed. May work for awhile, then suddenly snap. Might as well do it right while you've got it all apart. Just my .02.

    Slow trip down

That describes Dubrovnik pretty well during that period. I was there in '77. Lots of soldiers with red stars on their hats and sub-machine guns. Beautiful town, but repressed. Locals wouldn't even talk to us sailors, probably for fear of reprisal by the commies/KGB.

2 Week Break, Good for The Soul

Yes, really, I did. I was tired of sitting on my fat ass in front of a computer all day at work, and then pretty much sitting on the same thing when I got home. It's been a great way to get out and get a little exercise. I can't stand jogging or running, but a bike is perfect. Heck, I haven't...

2 Week Break, Good for The Soul

I was amazed when I started looking for a beach cruiser. There are some really, really cool bikes out there! Nirve (Huntington Beach) has a great line, but so does Phat and Felt. Stretches, low riders, choppers, ape hangers -- a lot of quality custom stuff to choose from! I went for the one with...

    Camel Toe is famous!

Famous??? Didn't I read that they changed the name with new ownership? The Camel Toe no longer exists as it did? Could swear I saw that here not too long ago....

2 Week Break, Good for The Soul

Welcome back! I'm wanting to bring my new beach cruiser down one of these days. Nirve Skulls. Rides like a dream! I love riding it around the neighborhood and ringing the bell -- I get the same response from everyone. They smile and wave and say, "Oh, Hiiiiiii!"

Count me out; I hate crowds. Having had the pleasure of being there during many big events in the past, this old fart would rather come on weekends when muerto rules the town. Don't get me wrong; I think it's GREAT for the town, just not right for me anymore.
