2 Week Break, Good for The Soul

Im back, better than ever. I needed that two week break to settle down a little. I bought a project bike, a tricycle beach cruiser so that kept me pretty busy. Im thinking the next big project for RP is a boardwalk from the Malecon down to possibly the reef. That would be pretty legit for walking, running and biking. What does everyone think? Can we make that happen? Boardwalk boardwalk boardwalk, (chanting)...

That's a long boardwalk. That's a lot of Sandy Beach to break.

The reason Sandy Beach is so popular is cause there is no boardwalk, its just good ol' beach. Save the huge long boardwalks for California, I say. We've got malecon.

There is (or was) a plan for an oceanfront boardwalk from the Malecon to the Mirador. I don't know what happened to it.

Joe's just wishing for a place to hot rod his tricycle beach cruiser and terrorize the tourists.:woo:

Welcome back! I'm wanting to bring my new beach cruiser down one of these days. Nirve Skulls. Rides like a dream! I love riding it around the neighborhood and ringing the bell -- I get the same response from everyone. They smile and wave and say, "Oh, Hiiiiiii!"

I was amazed when I started looking for a beach cruiser. There are some really, really cool bikes out there! Nirve (Huntington Beach) has a great line, but so does Phat and Felt. Stretches, low riders, choppers, ape hangers -- a lot of quality custom stuff to choose from! I went for the one with the biggest, fattest tires I could find because of the big, fat rear end that will be occupying the seat!!

Yes, really, I did. I was tired of sitting on my fat ass in front of a computer all day at work, and then pretty much sitting on the same thing when I got home. It's been a great way to get out and get a little exercise. I can't stand jogging or running, but a bike is perfect. Heck, I haven't had a bike in over 30 years and it's refreshing to be on one again. My biggest problem so far is finding time to actually get out and go for rides. I'm still working on getting my dog to run with me without actually killing me, but working on that so she can get exercise, too. Plus, Tempe (where I live) is probably one of the most bike friendly towns in all of AZ. Bike paths everywhere.

You should try it! It's good, genuine fun! And, it's helped me drop about 40 lbs. so far!!! Go, me!! :cluck:

Needs fatter tires, Joe, not those pizza cutters!! hahah! I think there's some great possibilities for chopping a three wheeler -- you're gonna have a really nice ride!
