    Bad fire in Prescott!

That is his opinion and your opinion. It's not one I share; at least not at the moment. By all accounts, these were well-trained, brave men, doing what they chose to do. By the same logic, Jerry, if a hurricane or tsunami wipes out your Santo beach home and somebody dies trying to save it...

*WARNING* Food Poisoned in Rocky Point - Do NOT eat at...

I think you missed my point, Dave. It really can happen anywhere (and has to me on a few occasions). It doesn't make Bryan's any more or less safe. Some ingredient left unrefrigerated too long, too many orders, not enough attention to cross-contamination, there are literally hundreds of ways for...

*WARNING* Food Poisoned in Rocky Point - Do NOT eat at...

Sorry to hear that, Dave. I *know* what you're going through, been there, done that and it's not pleasant!! Unfortunately, it can happen nearly anywhere, not just Bryan's. Not trying to defend them, but I've eaten at Bryan's many times and not had any bad after effects. Once it was a Reggie's...

    Good surf fishing trip

True on the year/class size thing for many fish, even baitfish like mackerel. If you're catching horse macks, they'll ALL be horse macks. Catching candy macks, they'll all be candy... until another school comes by. Same with white seabass and others on the deep reefs, too. It is nice to drop...

His post went on vacation and he was politely asked to temper his comments and learn to play well with others. Or... go sit in the corner. :puff:

    Stolen car!!

Because many Fords are built in Mexico now, I was told by the Mexican locksmith when my F-250 was nearly stolen, that many master keys have walked out of the factory and are out on the streets. In my case, they jammed a key into the ignition, but it broke off without starting the truck and the...

Really. He would have had it mounted as a trophy! The IMPORTANT thing is that you were out fishing and introducing your young son to the wonders of the sea, as well!! Congrats!

Wanna see the Tournament winning Grouper?

Sure, Jeff... sure. :puff: Actually, I believe it. I've seen marlin jumping in Rocky Point years past and have occasionally run across them tailing. Have also come across them sitting in the current break and sunning themselves over at Consag Rock (near San Felipe). They are out there, but...

Wanna see the Tournament winning Grouper?

Can't tell from the pic because, like most billfish, you're only seeing the tail, not the dorsal. Sails cruise with their dorsals tucked flat, marlins tend to have their smaller dorsal up. 99% chance pic is a sail.

Wanna see the Tournament winning Grouper?

Trolling, trolling over the bounding main... great fish, Robert! Time to grease the outriggers! Please Mr. Wind God, stop blowing and let the monsoon pattern settle in and calm the seas. I know that sounds odd, but some of the flattest seas I've ever fished were during July when the spring...

    Fresh Corn on the cob

Yanno, it's kind of weird... but I don't think corn on the cob is a Mexican thing. Stopped into Food City locally here Memorial Day for a melon, ice and stuff and not a single ear of sweet corn in the store. WalMart had it, all the other stores had it, but not Food City. Made me wonder. Anybody???

Isla Angel de la Guardia adventure trip June 7-11 wow

I haven't tried launching my boat at Lobos. Basically, it's too big and A) if I could get it in that road without bottoming it out somewhere (trailer length) and B) not get stuck in the sand getting down to the launch area (weight with full fuel, water, supplies, etc.) and C) the launcher may be...

Isla Angel de la Guardia adventure trip June 7-11 wow

Uhhhhh... "bodyguard" is the more accurate word here. Yes, I have met both of them. :puff: I'm going to have to do a trip like this. I'll need a fuel bladder, though. 120 miles from Penasco as the crow flies and although I have the range to get there and back, doesn't leave much gas for...
