Surfing the Ocean on a Dirt Bike

Cool, pretty ingenious with the paddle back tire and the skis for lift! I can't help but think, though, that when the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. ;) That sucker stops or stalls for a moment, blub-blub... down it goes like a rock. At least a jetski floats!

China Love Sea of Cortez endangered species.

How do you say it without sounding racist? I dunno. But I DO know the Chinese (Asian cultures in general) are raping the world's seas of everything at an alarming rate. I mean c'mon, seahorses? Sea cucumbers? Bleeech. I've eaten a lot of things out of the ocean, but those two have never crossed...

A lot of what was nipping you off probably were triggers. I used to throw rubber Cocahoe minnow a lot in the surf. The triggers would shred 'em in no time. Because triggers have a very hard, almost beak like mouth, they are very hard to hook from shore. Easier when fishing in a boat straight up...

    Fishing Guide Services

I understand your needs and request, but you won't find that kind of fishing on those kind of boats for charter. Some of us private boaters have those boats, but not for that capacity. As said, go with About Time and just have some fun with your buddies. You may or may not get a couple of nice...

Mexican Poachers Ignore Fishing Ban, Porpoise Nears Extinction

I would NOT advise this. As one who has cut turtles off illegal long lines in San Carlos, the bottom line is you are still in their country and you don't know what you're going to end up dealing with out there. The only advantage I had in one situation was more people on board, some of them...

Mexican Poachers Ignore Fishing Ban, Porpoise Nears Extinction

It's all about the peso, amigos. They are stopping and threatening to confiscate American boats on the other side of Baja, but in the Cortez? They won't lift a finger to save the vaquita from their own countrymen. There's lots of money to be made on the totuava bladders and as Jerry has...

Mexico is cracking down on U.S. boaters who venture into its waters

Where a LOT of this confusion comes from is the whole concept of "Free Zones." Baja Norte is a Free Zone; you do not require a Visa for short visits, just like most of Sonora. Where it starts to get sticky is that technically, if you are in the country for more than 72 hours, free zone or not...

    Santo Tomas

I tend to agree with you. Having lived in Maryland for a number of years, I can't tell you how my eyes lit up when a I saw a bunch of live SOC blue crabs for sale in RP. Bought a couple dozen, iced them down, and drooled the whole way way home thinking about how good they were going to be. Hard...

    Driving in Sand

Great article! My old Scout used to do the beach really well. Air down those tires and then limp back into town to the nearest Pemex. Even with 4WD, my F-250 is too long and too heavy. I buried it pretty good over by the oyster farms last trip down. Wouldn't be the first time I got buried at...

My Mirador to Sandy Beach Video!

Very nice! I haven't seen a fish in months. But come this fall, I should be back in the game!

    Fish Finder Drone

I've had similar ideas. The technology is getting better and better. Look up Lily camera. Makes drone use automated. Would be wicked cool to use filming your boat while hooked up on a nice billfish... and nobody has to operate the drone.

    disappearing forum

When I can get out from in front of these damned computers! I've been working on two big projects involving the rollout of new enterprise-wide computer systems. Days, nights, and yes, weekends. It's ridiculous at times. My boat looks at me and begs to see the saltwater again. My wife looks at me...

    disappearing forum

Tyler removed them for lack of use. He and I discussed this some time ago and he left them for the time being, but I'm guessing the use on them didn't pick up much, if any. Sorry, but we still have all the most popular places where the cool kids hang out!

    OMG The Wind.

I used to be the one that was constantly whining about the wind and not being able to find a break in the forecast to plan a trip. Been true April/May for the past several years. I've seen it be blowing like the dickens in Penasco and dead calm at the 51. But as a general rule, if it's blowing...
