    Great meeting some forum members.

I'm doing good! Except for working too much. <sigh> All work and no fishing makes Stu a dull boy. If I can see this project through until after August, I might get some time off.

    HEY STUART

Thanks, folks! Bill, not sure if there is anything I can do on this end of the forum if Verizon has the block. PM me your Casa Grande IP address when you can or email it to me ([email protected]) and I'll check for any blocks on this end, but I don't think that's the case.

    Gold spot catch.

It's about 47 miles from the Penasco main harbor. Like many of the popular reefs and waypoints, the distance was calculated from Cholla Bay back in the heyday of the Cholla Bay Sportsman Club. Nearly all the sport fishing took place out of there, as the Penasco harbor was primarily commercial...

    Fish Wardens

Here you go: http://www.vagabundos.com/license.htm#2 They tack on a fee for non-members, but it's not outrageous ($11). There is a link on the page to print the form and you can mail it/fax it to them with a check or CC number. They turn them around pretty quick. I've been a member of...

Gun battle in front of school in Rocky Point March 17

In Mexico, you get shot by the cartel bad guys. Usually very targeted and specific. In the US, you get shot by some crazy SOB with no specific reason that got his hands on a gun. Hard to read much of anything into the report in Mesa at the moment. Appears to be totally random.

None required from shore is correct. You are indeed required to have one fishing from a boat regardless of what anyone tells you. I buy mine through Vagabundos (travel group) online; you have to be a member. In Rocky Point, go to city hall to buy one. That is the only place that sells them that...

Gun battle in front of school in Rocky Point March 17

Indeed. I don't see it as fear-mongering at all. I'd rather know the reality of these situations than "unicorns and rainbows." I think that's where we (the forum as a whole) provides valuable information.

The laws in Mexico are quite different. In most cases, they simply confiscate your boat and all your fishing gear. Pretty high price to pay, especially if you have a nice boat! Best advice? Have a valid fishing license and stay within your limits. Nobody can find fault with you for that. The...

The Homeport...A reason a week it is a bad idea

Russ.... Jerry.... kiss and make up. Miramar, you don't have to kiss Jerry. Just kiss the pool boy instead. Jerry? Try not to bash our family members so hard with personal stuff, okay? I don't care if you want to argue opinion all day long until you have a mescaline flashback, but leave...

The Homeport...A reason a week it is a bad idea

Jerry used to work for the CIA. He knows lots of stuff about lots of stuff. But those CIA LSD tests in the 60's scrambled a few eggs upstairs and he sometimes has difficulty making normal neural connections. Don't sweat it, Russ. He still thinks I worked for Richard Nixon and Dick Cheney. ;)

I'm used to taking crap. I've been married most of my adult life. Hahahah! The boat - no, not a tourist charter. Private boat; they don't post here. I'll take the movie "The Survivors" for a dime, Alex...

We love you too, Joan. No worries here. I haven't been out since October and my boat has been here in the states since then, so it certainly ain't me they're looking for. I can tell you that I do know a boat that is likely on their list, though. They slay a lot of fish. Advice? Safe...

Awesome Fat Tire E Bike/Cruiser for Penasco.

Pretty cool bike! Heck, I paid $500 for my Nirve Skulls and it's not even electric.

Enjoy, Russ! GN is a great place. Unfortunately, when I was there it wasn't whale season. Take some great pics!

Peso/US dollar exchange rip off in RP restaurants.

I agree, Russ. Having traveled a lot of places in the world, nearly all would gladly take dollars. But, try paying for anything in the US with a foreign currency and they look at you like you've got lobsters crawling out of your mouth.

Peso/US dollar exchange rip off in RP restaurants.

Yeah, pesos to dollars... dollars to pesos... the exchange game. I figured out a long time ago if I just pay in rubles, nobody knows what the heck to think! :D Goes right along with the "Gringo Tax" which everyone and their mamacita will tell you doesn't exist. But oh, it does, and you can...

The Homeport...A reason a week it is a bad idea

The last cruise I was on was GREAT! Over 5000 people on the cruise ship. We visited Spain, Italy, Yugoslavia and spent an extraordinary amount of time off the beautiful coast of Lebanon... blowing shit up on a daily basis!
