The Xray machine is not under the shaded area (I think there's still one there, but this one is bigger and taller). They were directing all traffic through this machine so you can imagine the bottleneck on a busy day vs Saturday afternoon. There's a small building to the right of it, apparently...
We drove down this morning and no request for Mx insurance. Going back to Tucson, that newer Xray machine took 10 minutes to get through. I told them you're going to be backing up traffic if it gets busy. He said "we're trying to get the kinks out".
We never had a problem with the old one...
Yeah, someone posted about missing money, so when we got pulled over about 2 months ago, I took out my purse, and anything else valuable, then watched them as they went through the car. They didn't like my epipen that I need for allergy tests.
Maybe they have to check on their house/property. Some don't have other people that can verify everything's ok= doors blown open, bees, water leaks, etc. We've had all these happen.
I miss Seadweller's posts. He's the one who showed us the underwater videos, so we took his advice and went to Lobos to snorkle-amazing! Just add Saltwater
According to The Guardian from an article about Nogales spraying: "
The Mexican border city plans to install five sanitizing tunnels to disinfect people arriving through its two main ports of entry from Nogales, Arizona. A sanitizing tunnel is also stationed outside a hospital in Nogales...
I think everyone is getting frustrated at this disease and how they're handling it. It's fine to say you have to wear a mask, but when they say it's ok for condo people to swim in a cramped overcrowded pool, but not in the ocean, or condo people can come down, but not people who own homes...
I feel like we're in the middle of the 10 plagues:Covid, riots, Dow plunging, cartels fires and smoke. Through in an earthquake or insect infestation and we'll be there!
I don't understand why Penasco opened up to visitors, but people who own homes cannot go to their residences: "For at least the next two weeks, no one will be allowed to enter the city to stay at a private residence, including property...
The Mayan is closed, so even though you don't have to go through the checkpoints, you can't get into the Mayan (currently). We tried on Sunday, but got turned back. I called them, and they are opening July 3rd both Mayan Palace and Grand Mayan Penasco.
