    Homeport moving along!

"The airport, which opened in 2009 as a public-private partnership between the state and Grupo Mayan Resorts, sees about 6,000 passengers per year, he said. Almost 30 percent of arrivals are American general aviation and 8 percent are charter flights from the U.S. and Mexico." I didn't know that.

    Police are extortionist

What did they use to get back into the U.S. beforehand, if they didn't have a pass card or passport?

I still think that there is good business opportunity for at least one, well stocked bait and tackle shop nearby.

Animal Certificates of Health at Border

It is probably just as well, given the areas and groups that would pose a threat to your safety on the Mexican roads today. I am not too sure that I would travel Mexico roads, by day and night like I used to do, with children even. I feel that I have used up eight of my nine lives and need to...

Laguna Shores mentioned in article - not in a good way

My experience, with very few exceptions tells me that in the world of time share presentations, the term 'professional salesman' is at best an oxymoron to describe the numerous con artists who are attracted to the game of selling a vastly overpriced piece of 'Paradise'. This can be easily...

Laguna Shores mentioned in article - not in a good way

I must be missing something here since this is quite benign compared to other presentations such as at the Mayan, where people have reported being denied egress until they are sufficiently worn down, and just sign so they could leave.

    unfinished projects

Sadly, these rusting, skeletal monuments to Mexican, econonomic failures will not be finished/demolished/resolved until the movers and shakers at the highest levels, recognize that they will continue to be an insurmountable impediment to their future bottom lines. It traditionally has taken a...

ATT looks like it decided to compete. I wonder if the people who are called in Mexico as U.S. visitors with ATT, will still be assessed roaming and data fees, while it will be free for the ATT U.S. caller? http://www.theverge.com/2015/8/14/9152543/at-t-new-mobile-share-value-plan-contracts

    Burglars Active in the Mirador

This time of year is busy with middle class Mexicans heading to the beaches of the Sea of Cortes for summer vacation. There were far more Mexican plates than US when I was last down in both San Carlos and Penasco.

    Water Outage

This can be achieved only if plumbed and wired accordingly, to be fail safe in the event of a water and/or electric outage, for an inground water tank. Unless it is a raised gravity feed it won't accomplish this otherwise.
