    Diesel

So, does that mean that the Mexicans are going to be checking all the vehicles leaving the country too? Maybe another green light/red light system on that side of the roadway? I can imagine what the line will look like returning to the US.....probably be all the way back to RP on busy weekends!

    Diesel

Cactusamigo.....what I was told by ADOT when I had my "affair" was that anything in separate fuel tanks/containers would be consider as fuel being imported, regardless of when or where you bought it.

Cactusamigo....unfortunately, the "drivers license" policy only covers liability....it will not cover you for any damage to the vehicle you are driving.

Best place to get Mexican car insurance

Can't comment on auto claims through Portugal Insurance...but a friend of mine had her trailer insured thru them, and when she had a fire in it, it took forever to get the claim settled. Fortunately they're local, and she was able to beat on their door every time she came down. Having had an...

Interesting story about needing medicial help in RP.

Tyler...I'm glad things worked out ok for you! Having done beach camping for years, and also bringing down young children, and seeing the results of stingrays and jellyfish, I've accumulated a box full of first aid stuff...and made good use of it. Fortunately, nothing serious has...

Interesting story about needing medicial help in RP.

For minor stuff, like stingray, jellyfish, a broken bone...the Red Cross works....and it's free (they do take contributions). The clinic in town (my mind is drawing a blank on the name....but they have a bunch of ambulances right on the main drag) is ok....the doctor in there speaks English...
