    Driving south to Mazatlan

Anyone made the trip to Mazatlan? How is the road....is it a tollroad? If not that far down the coast...how about some info on the road to Guaymas? Where can I get the car pass (or whatever it's called)? Do they issue it at Sonoita?

Does your Blackberry have wifi? If so, which model do you have? I'm ready to switch carriers (have ATT), but may stay with them if I find the right phone for the right $$

    Verizon Cell Phone

It's in blocks of 100/200/300 PESOS.....not minutes. I use it (Amigo)...just went to the main Telcel store on Benito Juarez before I left and got the 1 peso per minute service (local)...you need to have been with Amigo for a year.

Shay's Coyote Ugly bites the dust!!

Shay's Coyote Ugly on the Mirador closed this weekend....with Friday being the last day it was open for business. Just not enough business..... This was Marty's (of the old Margaritavilla), run by his son and daughter-in-law. He's still fighting trying to get Margaritavilla back.....

    Telcel wireless 3G internet card

I think the way to go is for a few neighbors to get together, get a Telcel phone and broadboand, get a wifi router, and share the costs. With a "n" router, you should be able to get the signal a 100-200 feet with no problem. I heard from a local that she pays 380 pesos per month for a...

    Verizon Cell Phone

This is an old thread....but to update....ATT and TMobile work in Mexico. Verizon and Alltell DO NOT. Don't get suckered into the Verizon World Phone....it is GSM, but not the US/Mexico GSM frequencies. I was thinking of switching back to Verizon, but a friend has one, and he was down in RP...

    Come on down............

I've eaten there 4-5 times....and each time I was satisfied.....the menu is limited...it is a bit pricey for Mexico...but the view can't be beat....so you're paying for that too. I just hate the parking situation unless you get there very early....that whole area (El Capitan included) is crazy...

    RV Parks in Mirador

San Rafael is still open....as well as Playa d'Oro. Elegante has been closed for awhile. On Sandy Beach, you have Playa Bonita and The reef. Playa Bonita also has a small park right off Calle 13 down by what used to be Plazas Glorias, but it's not on the beach.
