Broke into piggy bank, looking for reliable car

Hi all, Some of you might've heard this on the radio last Saturday, but I'm finally ready to buy myself a vehicle. I prefer pickups and SUVs to sedans and am thinking maybe 2005 or so. Most importantly, it must be reliable for long trips and somewhat comfortable. Best if the mileage isn't too...

Insurance... What do I need to be legal?

You must buy Mexican liability insurance. It's very inexpensive to buy just for the number of days you'll be in Mexico. You can call my office in Rocky Point by using our US number 602.773.1031 or you can go to our website and purchase your policy online at www.proalliance.com.mx Have a good trip!

Is it legal to bring in a packaged turkey and the fixings?

I was specifically told at the border that cooked foods are prohibited. No dog food, no beef either. I suggest you bring everything down in it's original packaging, as Roberto has said. Hope that helps!

    Insurance

As Joe points out, your Allstate policy isn't enough because it doesn't meet the requirement for Mexican liability coverage. My sister has been an Allstate claims adjuster for 25+ years and she and her co-workers always buy policies from me for liability.

    Fiesta cruiser shipwrecked, tourist dies

Well thank you for noticing, but no...that isn't it. Hopefully it's that I have something of value to contribute to my surroundings and to the people around me. I actually see your copy and paste jobs as something of a contribution to the forum. Keep 'em coming.

Ha! Perhaps it wouldv'e been easier to what you're famous for: copy and past into Google Translator for a version no one can understand. It's your only claim to fame, Dude.

    Fiesta cruiser shipwrecked, tourist dies

The word in the press release was shipwrecked. Shipwrecked doesn't necessarily mean sunk. It means destroyed by weather conditions or collision. The press release used the word "naufrago". That's good enough for me. What it says and what you think it says are two very different things, Joe.
