Well after having read some announcement awhile back about it being manufactured / installed by (?) a US company reputable worldwide for its zip lines, I expected to see something similar to the air-condition gondola car. Instead, saw what looked more like broomsticks and twine . . .

Wondered what all the ambulance / siren action was when in town Sunday afternoon. Had visited the zip line a month or two ago, and it looked pretty primitive. . . .Could be a fun attraction if upgraded.

Great points, above. But I would add another factor: US has been in recession (many would say depression) for many years. The barge is only beginning to turn around, and – depending on success – will (at a similar pace) affect Penasco.

Actually you were stating opinion (regarding climate preference) mixed with observations of a "comeback" (or, as you state, lack thereof) that doesn't match the days of the "boom." I would suggest that the reason for the mismatch is simply that comebacks -- economy and residual effect on...

So in short, 9 months out of the year are fantastic. And since I also like summer months, provided there's AC to retreat to, I'm in!

I had the same reaction to the "climate" comment, but chose to selfishly allow that rumor to fester, similar to my wholeheartedly agreeing with those afraid to travel into Mexico. (Just my little part in protecting the remoteness of beautiful beaches.)

Agree that there are those who putter respectfully down the beach, leaving only "gentle tire tracks," and those fly by on the back wheels. The road behind the beach-front homes provides a great option as well.
