Las Palmas is a great resort and the casa's are gorgeous! The restaurant Mickeys is fantastic...Great Food!

We had no trouble driving either and have friends coming down as i write. If you are nervous drive in a caravan from the border with other cars.

We have always gone to dr gomez ( dentist ) and he was located on juarez in the buildings to the right of the double railroad tracks. Friends were just down there and said he was not there. Does anyone perhaps know if he is still practicing in rp and just moved to another bulding or left...

The same issue are at the usa/canada border and it has not stopped travellers there.

I know..i wish it would go back to those days again too and to when the "cartel stuff" was quieter in the background. You would think the cartels would not want to destroy mexican tourism.

wow...thanks. We have been looking at mexican rivieria cruises and have not seen this stop...all they seem to go to is cabo & mazatlan...wanted ixtapa and can't find that either..

mexico might need rp as a cruise stop since they are running out of other ports. Only cabo, cancun and mazatlan ports left...

can you still cross if you have applied for a passport or passport car and have the receipt but not actual passport or card. You used to be able to but was just told at office that it is not allowed anymore. However, I read that some of you get back with only DL and BC...

am thinking of heading to rp am just wondering how the crowds etc are on sandy beach? Was told there is lots of fights going on and a possible stabbing....anyone heard this?

if it is in computer & have paper work, you are fine. We paid thru our nose to have it expedited and then we had someone cross with passport in works and it was fine....so we wasted so much money on the expedited. If you were flying international, that would be different.
