Puerto Penasco Home Port

Based on the ambitious scale of the finished project in that video, all the port non-fans need to relax.
Because it will be another 40-60 years for those improvements to be finished. (If "Big" If Ever")
And that means it will be up to the future generations to complain while we all roll over in our graves.

Huge amount of money needed to do something of that scale, and with 30-50% of funding not being used for projects
it's hard to see this ever being completed.
I believe there will still be a port, but more on the scale of what PV and Mazatlan have which is pretty basic.

Also the animation was pretty poor.

Just read that the workers are on strike again. They are owed 2 months of pay in the amount of $1,900,000 pesos or approximately $152,000 USD. This is affecting the families of 70 workers.

Here is a pic of their parked trucks demanding to be paid from last Friday.

Looks like there was a conference call between the subcontractor, Alfredo Vergara Alvarez, the truck drivers, and some media people. This Vergara Alvarez guy is blaming the consortium for lack of payment to the drivers. But apparently they're starting to freak out that the project is going to get cancelled if it's held up much longer. I didn't understand the full content, but I think I read that they're trying to get drivers to bring in rock from the Herradura Mine so that the project doesn't stay "paralyzed".

Mina La Herradura to Puerto Penasco road will be a nightmare if this happens.I would rather risk being taken or washed away in a monsoon storm on the Sasabe-Altar road than follow those pothole creators...

So where is that mine and how far? It all started with lack of planning and using the right contractor for this project, how many times do they need a project to get in trouble till they get a clue.
