I did....the cops hated him...my bet is you were more of Ranch House guy. ( the biker bar the narcs just hated). They had great hamburgers

Nah more of a RUB than an outlaw, i did go to the Ranch-House quite a few times, even ran over their bikes when I left, Sorry bout that dirty-dozen!
As far as I knew, Doc was a great guy. Loved the Night Train, great bar, especially after it closed for the night - I think it was around '76-'77.

Seriously, I am Closely Watching this Thread for info on when the port pier rocks

I remember him as a bartender who famously would take the peg leg off and beat the crap out of dead beats with it.....as with the Homeport it just goes to show doing business with strangers is never a good idea.....

are you guys referring to Choo Choo's on 4th in Tucson.? spent many a drink n drown/ wet T shirt wednsday in that place. Doc was an optomitrist..dealer as I recall

Hammock pilot .....the name was changed from Choo Choos in the late 70s.I think Shag became a partner and he was way more into the weed biz......he did 5 years then became a real criminal (California real estate developer)
Wow. As I've written here in the past, when will Penasco stop trying to "pet the unicorns" and concentrate on fixing/improving what is already there? The closing comment in that article pretty much says it all - "It's easy to steal 80% of a White Elephant."
