Has Mexico reduced it's gas prices?

I have not been to Mex since the price of oil on the world market has fallen. Just curious if the Mexican government has reduced their prices or if they are gouging the Mexican people who have no alternative.

So you are saying $5.00 per. Gal jump in here Russ ant tell us what you thinking

Current rates @ 12.50 PPL puts it around 3.25 a gal. Almost $1 more a gallon than the cheapest I found in the Mesa area.
Why?????
When I was a kid, my parents owned a little diesel engine car. We lived in Yuma, so my dad used to drive into Algodones on the weekend and fill up for .25cents a gallon. :)

In other words "gouging the Mexican people who have no alternative." They could & should reduce the cost at the pump & still maintain their percent of profit/tax income revenue.

Makes no sense to me. But I do know the locals struggle. I got 13.5 on my visa for buying gas last week, but still way out of hand

San Diego - The price of gasoline dropped simultaneously on both sides of the border in California and Baja California this Tuesday.

The cheapest gasoline in Tijuana and Rosarito was 9.59 pesos for regular ($2.48 per gallon) and 10.38 pesos ($2.69 per gallon) for Premium. In Mexicali, fuel was cheaper and was 9.03 pesos ($2.34 per gallon) for regular and 9.84 pesos ($2.55 per gallon) for Premium.

This difference in prices between the coastal municipalities and the state capitol reflects making the prices in Baja California equivalent to San Diego and Imperial counties, respectively.

In San Diego County, regular unleaded gas dropped to $2.25 per gallon, or 8.84 pesos per liter, using an exchange rate of 14.60 pesos per dollar. In the Imperial Valley, the cheapest regular is $2.19 per gallon, or 8.41 pesos per liter.

Gasoline in Baja California is on average 70% cheaper that in the center of Mexico.

so its not too much more than it is here. At least not $4 a gallon.
Just wanted to see if I should fill up before I enter on Friday.

Certainly better than $4.00/ gallon a short time ago. Metro Phoenix Sam's Clubs were $1.76/ gallon the other day.
