flounder report - the flounder at the ranch market at 16th st and Roosevelt is excellent! at 3.99/lb - same as in RP. meat was fresh and firm, displayed on ice, with no stinky smell. trimmed up nicely and made some great tacos. got a bit over whelmed there - forgot to look for the jarabe syrup...

bahia - good point about the smell, but you really need to smell the fish you want to buy - every fish market I have ever been in smells fishy. also need to watch for the ammonia smell around shrimp, not a good smell. thanks

I'm just jonesing for some flounder - is there anywhere in the Phoenix area that has flounder? I've tried the frozen flounder filets at Fry's - they're from China and just not the same. frozen would be ok of the quality is there... thanks so much.

I'm a wal-mart hater - and I live less than 2 miles from one. I will not shop there, period. cheap prices are not everything.

makes me wonder how long until PDO sells also. if nothing else, their rates will probably jump 25% by next year, which would be better than them selling I suppose. maybe we can convince the Las Dunas folks to hurry up with an rv park for us down by the fishing village....
