    Las palomas owners story

Ah, that makes things clearer, and if that's the case then I don't blame her a bit for being seriously upset. Thanks, clayb.

    Habitos Pasados

Oh duh, I must have been having a senior moment, lol. Saltwater it is. And I KNEW that, too!

    Habitos Pasados

Thanks, Sea Dweller. I needed something special to post in The Tides today, and this really fit the bill. Great job, perfect music to accompany it! Cool beans! :)

    Las palomas owners story

We did not discover from this video if the woman actually lost any money to the developer, and though she expected delivery on a certain date and that wasn't met, isn't Las Palomas now finished? In which case one can assume she did eventually get her condo. I can sympathize with her, but the use...

    Xochitl's

Stuart, you've never been to Xochitl's? GOTTA give it a try! I haven't been there recently but I understand the new place is great and the food and "ambience" haven't changed. I gave it a plug a little while back in Beach Buzz and it made me hungry just thinking about it, lol...

New laws for Mexican cellphones There is news about some new regulations for Mexican cellphones: "In yet another attempt to throw a wrench into the operations of drug cartels and other illegal operations, Mexico is changing its laws on the use of cellphones. It started back in April, with all...

    cell phones

Can you use Magicjack via your laptop and headphones, as you do with Skype, or do you need to connect your laptop to an actual phone?

    American/ Canadian population in R.P.

Russ, all things being relative, what is your definition of "huge"?

    Anyone feel the earthquake?

Great map source, Terry. Thanks. Looks like they were a bit further north than Bahia de Kino, but the 6.9 one was closer to the Sonoran coast than the Baja coast.

    Anyone feel the earthquake?

Kmbphx: No worries about a tsunami, according to all the authorities who know about such things. Off the top of my head I'd guess BOLA is close to being straight across the Sea of Cortez from Bahia Kino in Sonora, north of San Carlos and south of Puerto Libertad.

    Anyone feel the earthquake?

I'm not there right now, was just wondering if it caused any trouble there. Sounds like all is OK, and that makes me happy.

    Anyone feel the earthquake?

3 earthquakes hit within a few minutes of each other this morning near Santa Isabel, Baja California, measuring 5.0, 5.8, and 6.9 That's near the Bahia de Los Angeles (BOL) in Baja. Around 11:00 AM. At least one of them was felt in San Diego, Los Angeles and Phoenix-- how about you? Did you feel...

    Make it stop!

Whistling past the graveyard, beachgirl? :-D But if we're talking' pie, well I could seriously get into that! Of course it's always possible that English is not the poster's first language?

    Mexican Independence Day

I'd guess there'll be all kinds of goings-on in Old Port, around the Plaza. Probably music, food, drinking, vendors selling flags, balloons, sombreros and rehiletes, maybe a parade, the usual accouterments to a major Mexican holiday (or American, for that matter). Lots of fun! And of course El...

    Make it stop!

When I was a kid there came a time when my mom discovered her flour supply was full of weevils, but she used it anyway, trying to convince us that it was healthy because the weevils were good protein. We might have overlooked it if the flour had been used to make cookies or a cake or something...

    Make it stop!

Yeah, I agree with you guys. It'll get worse before it gets better, and some prices ARE approaching early '90s prices. Sigh. And about those Canadian nightcrawlers, X-Costie-- are they nice and juicy? Would they go well with a nice chianti? :D

    Make it stop!

This is what we're faced with, guys and gals. Multiply it by the millions as it applies to Mexico as a whole. I run up against this kind of thing continuously on the City-Data forums and elsewhere, and I'm so tired of repeating over and over that people's fears about travel to Mexico (and Rocky...

Great response, Bill. Hard to argue with that. Hat tip to you.
