Mexican Politics- Heads up, its an election year!

Thanks, buy it was only thirty bucks or so and I got an insurance client, so it worked out.

Well at least you got one. Last year I accidentally paid my neighbor's property taxes. Although as low as they are, there's no excuse for not getting it paid.

Sorry. Yes you're right. Most people don't pay early simply because they don't get the notice. In Mexico sometimes the notice arrives, sometimes not.

If you're asking whether it applies to non-Mexicans, yes it does. The drawing for the Ford Lobo does not.

Mexican Politics- Heads up, its an election year!

Yeah, they keep telling me too...but I'm stubborn and keep thinking there's time to throw a fly into the ointment! Although I do hedge my bets...didn't bother to pay my property taxes early, because I know my name isn't down there as the winner.

Thank you for the kind words. I'm the "front person" but my partner Melody works hard on the technical side and design. Its a definitely a team effort. Glad you like it, hope you subscribed!

Mexican Politics- Heads up, its an election year!

According to Mexican law a foreigner may not campaign for or against any candidate or political party. I certainly don't advocate walking down the street in protest, either. But it is certainly time for people who are like-minded to begin to understand the electoral process in Mexico. I forsee...

Mexican Politics- Heads up, its an election year!

Right, anyone who understands true democracy would not and should not try to influence people how to use their votes. But people who live, work, invest, and are otherwise a part of this community should be heard. Numbers always count. They do in the States, and they will in Mexico. The first...

Mexican Politics- Heads up, its an election year!

This year Mexicans in Sonora will be electing a new Governor and in Puerto Penasco a new mayor. Unlike in the States, where campaigning can seem to go on forever, in Mexico the process is very, very fast. The process is interesting, yes...but also important for all who care about the future of...

    What happen?

Hi Feo, The word for it is T-R-O-L-L-S. They think they are fishing, but in reality they are nothing but common trolls. Not even good ones. Notice that I have resisted the urge to...well...to put the slap-down even though we all know the local troll keeps tossing pebbles at my window. Ho Hum. I...

Dear InkaRoads, Get outta here! When I first talked to Melody about the project, can you believe I was thinking DAILY? Thankfully she had the sense to say we should try weekly first. By the way, it's Wednesday! Now I gotta tell you that we are thrilled with the response and the whole...

    What happen?

It says that we enjoy the freedom of expression denied citizens of most other countries. God bless America.

Does the U.S. want Mexico to become a failed state?

My son can't come to Penasco either right now. I tell myself that maybe intelligence reports give them more information than what the rest of us know, so I try to assume that somebody is trying to keep them safe. I'm so glad to have him back safely from Iraq that I won't complain about his not...

    What happen?

I certainly wouldn't recommend watching that stuff to people who can't sort out the bias and inaccuracies, but I'm not the gullible type. And yes, TheOnion is good. I tend to read whatever I can get my hands on and watch (half-heartedly) the information/news stuff just to see what's being said...

Gee, guess I should try that. I usually look for a parking lot full of Realtor cars (with the magnetic car signs, especially) then I know the drinks are cheap!

    What happen?

Mondays and Tuesdays are always a mad scramble for me, but I too was surprised that the forum was so quiet on the inauguration. I was especially moved by the way Canadians and Mexicans alike were enthralled by our process and hopeful for America. Did you notice the way the talking heads at Fox...

    Insurance ?

A very good point. Check with Enterprise first and make sure they have no problem with it. Regardless if you can't buy from me, the offer to be there if you have a problem while in town still holds. Keep my number handy.

Hahah...cute. I don't have anything against conservatives at all, in fact I tend to be kind of fiscally conservative and socially more liberal. I am an Independent and have had my share of arguments with Democrats. It just depends upon who has tapped me on the shoulder and asked me to dance, and...
