What is going on at the entrance to 13th Street?

So Russ... that picture where the sign is... is currently the stop light where you turn onto Calle 13 just after the pedestrian bridge? Makes sense from the train tracks, but WOW... I'm just trying to get my head around the fact nothing was there! o_O Time warp!!!!

No doubt he's viewed as doing the job the government couldn't/wouldn't do. The bigger point is - isn't arming the local populace and going on Templar hunting trips just replacing one outlaw group (the cartel) with another outlaw group that has their own agenda and still doesn't report to the...

Wierd scene coming into Rocky Point today.

^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ So where, exactly, did the local "vigilantes" happen to come by that kind of firepower? We're not talking torches, pitchforks and old rusty squirrel guns here - they have serious automatic weapons. Not like they walked into WalMart and bought 'em. Things that make you go...

    What to believe here?

Nope, the website manager cannot. Have a nice day! This website serves Puerto Pensaco, period. Local, visitor or dreamer. Considering the huge membership fee you had to pay to join our little dysfunctional family, keep in mind that you get what you pay for. You won't find a better, more...

Unable to post with Windows IE-11

Other members have had similar issues, but thanks for being specific and confirming that it's IE11 related. Somehow, I'm not surprised. My recommendation has been to stick with Google Chrome for the time being, it has no issues with this site. I'll call Bill Gates in a few minutes and tell him...

Warm and fuzzy....that's the way I roll.

Very cool, Russ! When Connie and I did the trip in '98, the longest part of the whole journey was that 75 miles from Puertocitos to Gonzaga - six hours of washboard and never knowing what was around the next corner. All part of the adventure! Glad you had so much fun!

^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ Agreed. I'm thinking I like batpuppy and that we need more forum members like her! The good ol' "It's five o'clock SOMEWHERE!" rule when it comes to drinking! Hahaha! :)

You go to Mexico for as long and as many times as I have, you see a few things. Lucky and unlucky! Plus, having been involved with this forum for so many years, good and bad things always get posted (and endlessly beat to death) here -- in case you haven't noticed. Ask the guys we fished outta...

San Carlos to Penasco - Now 5 3/4 hours

With good reason. That is very remote territory. Flying over in a small plane recently, I was fascinated by just how desolate the whole area between Lobos and San Carlos really is. Whole lot of nothing but trouble back in them parts, I'm sure!

POSTED at 5:45 am. Who knows when they were actually drinking it. There wouldn't be light coming through the window at 5:45, yanno? :D Besides, it's the thought that counts! ;)

San Carlos to Penasco - Now 5 3/4 hours

Thanks for the report! I've never gone that whole route from Penasco, only as far as Lobos. Usually when I'm headed to San Carlos, it's from here in the PHX area, so it makes more sense to shoot down through Nogales rather than go through Penasco. However, when (one of these days) the coastal...

    Forum deterioration is sad

I'd rather shove red hot steel spikes in my eyes, thanks. I watch little to no TV, other than a few original series on HBO (Game of Thrones, True Blood, Boardwalk Empire, etc.). The only reason I know about Kardashian and the Duck Dynasty thingie is that there is NO escaping it. It's the main...

Military action in RP had to be done.

Derail? Naaaah... it was filmed at Guau-Guau!!! Salma was a young dancer there when, while visiting Puerto Penasco and writing the script "From Dusk to Dawn," Quentin Tarentino discovered her and decided to share her with the world, launching a great Hollywood career. What, y'all didn't know...

Psssshaw. The BEST Salma was when she was doing the Snake Dance in "From Dusk to Dawn." I don't think I've ever seen anything more seductive in my life.
