    Great Weekend, Horrific Ending

Wow... those are indeed very humbling situations that keep you thinking, and keep you thankful for your own blessings... I rarely take that 238 road anymore - especially if I'm towing the boat. It is just an easier trip to run up the 85 to the I-10. I'd rather deal with Phoenix traffic than...

    Tragedy in Bahia La Choya.

Uneducated...? I don't know. I don't see where education is the fundamental key to understanding the concept of self-preservation. I would be willing to bet that at least one person who got on that panga probably had the nervous feeling that they were taking an awful risk... and they were right.

Sea of Cortez Grouper- population and biology research and resources

I would definitely support that activity - as would I endorse the establishment of shallow water dive-only reefs that are off-limits to fishing. There is plenty of habitat out there that would support massive tonnage of fish if they would stop dragging shrimp nets across it, but I digress...

    Tragedy in Bahia La Choya.

ooof. very sad. Last week while coming back into port I had one of the banana boat guys pulling about 10 kids run straight at my boat, and turn into the wake when he was literally only 40 feet away.... idiots.

Sea of Cortez Grouper- population and biology research and resources

Ok, I'm hearing rumors that the annual RP fishing tournament is stirring a lot of controversy from the "All you fisherman A-holes are raping the ocean" crowd, so I was pulling together my library of articles and scientific research about our fishing area, and thought this would be a good time...

I have no argument with you on that point; and I am quite familiar with the foundational premise of contract law. However, you yourself declared that you had no idea whether or not Bella Sirena had such contract stipulations in place before you went off the deep end and tried to elevate this...

A different form of ownership...? I would retort that there is hardly any "ownership" in that arrangement at all... That is classic "fee simple tenant/ debtor in possession" title contract - Maybe one step above an outright timeshare. I don't envy anyone who signed on THAT bottom line...

    Interesting Crossing

Oh yeah- make no mistake - everything they see, say, ask; and all of your responses, are recorded permanently. That bacon incident is on your permanent border crossing record. However, I can't declare your experience as "interesting" if there were no handcuffs involved... but then, I'm a...

Your restaraunt analogy is stupid, because if I tried to coerce a server/waiter or cook to serve me a meal, and pay him under the table, then I am paying him/her to STEAL the food from the restaraunt's proprietor... Now, If I should go to a restaraunt owner, and say "your menu says this costs...

It's a good thing you didn't have Jerry with you... he would have been convinced you were going to end up shipwrecked on a south pacific island with two hot chicks, as if that would have been some sort of problem.

    Help me identify these fish!

That one is a wrasse. Probably a banded wrasse (Halichoeres notospilus), or a rock wrasse (Halichoeres semicinctus), or, maybe a spinster wrasse (Halichoeres nicholsi) pics of each can be found by clicking the links for the species above on the following page: Wrasse Family fish pictures and...

Grouper fishing this past weekend April 20-22

I think I prefer the term "unconventional" as opposed to "haphazard". If I chose to leave my boat the way it is now, I'm quite certain it could be steered this way for the rest of it's natural life; but, since I have a steering wheel at the helm, it will probably be more worthwhile for me to...
