    Rescue!

I agree with Terry, above. Nancy Phelan or Barb's Dog Rescue, for example, would be able to hand over a healthy rescue as well as know something of its temperament.

    Bachelor party

Yep -- July through September is a gamble. If there are good breezes, it can be beautiful. If high humidity and no wind, it can be a bear.

    Road coming in to RP

From what I saw a week ago, that's what apparently is being done -- north/south continues over the bridge; east/west goes under.

Anyone know where to get a copy of 'A Brief History of Puerto Peñasco'?

After reading in Rocky Point Times that Shakespeare Librerias (next to the Thrifty Store) was selling them over Independence weekend, I high-tailed it over there last Friday. They were sold out, but expect more in a few weeks. (NOTE TO SELF: If next time I go there, and the new shipment is...

Anyone know where to get a copy of 'A Brief History of Puerto Peñasco'?

UOTE="mondone, post: 100572, member: 1833"]The book store "Shakespeare Librerias" in Penasco at +52 638 690 1418 might be worth a try.

    OMG The Wind.

Yep -- cool (about 14 mph) breeze. Not even running air conditioning.

Road Condition - Penasco to Caborca

Let me answer with another question: Would you sit for hours on beach chairs . . . toes in water . . . nice summer breeze . . . around sundown with friends . . . . without a “refreshment?” Didn't think so. :) Thing is, we’d been doing that for decades . . . watching for the “flash” . . ...

Road Condition - Penasco to Caborca

Well that was it! It lasts about 2 seconds . . . beautiful emerald green "glow". . . . I think they call it "flash" because of how brief it is.

Road Condition - Penasco to Caborca

Yes -- from out toward Encanto / Dorada / Miramar. (It may have been in September -- I just remember "hot and humid")

Road Condition - Penasco to Caborca

Saw the green flash last August after 20 years of trying. Never say "never."

    Sting Ray Bites

Agree. From what I've heard and read, ray stings are pretty common and usually no big threat. If it is just an "owie" with a puncture, the cleansing-and-hot-water treatment is likely all that is required. Bigger rays, however, I've heard can leave more of a "hole" than a puncture. Those are...

    Newby - Spray for bugs?

I'm no pro, but considering the close quarters of condos, and the downside of adding pesticide spray to the possible mix of previous applications (and if roaches are your target), I would go with Advion Cockroach Gel Bait (Amazon). It can be applied to tops of door frames and similar locations...

    Swimming in Rocky Point

The shark thing is interesting; but since Great Whites and the like prefer deep, cold water, I would consider the shallow, warm near-coastline of south beaches (for example) to be very swim-friendly, and have been successfully testing that theory for over 20 years . . . all appendages still in tact.

    New overpass

For what it is worth, we got there today at 11:40 and the wait was down to 10 minutes. So (Memorial week?) traffic is dissipating.

    Water is Perfect!

As quick as those jellyfish came in, they just as quickly disappeared. From hundreds littering the beach on Saturday to nary a one today.

    New overpass

Yeah -- it definitely looks like they're under way. Good timing, based on the apparent (significant) return of visitor traffic to Penasco as of late.

    Sting Ray Bites

That is why you begin with the cold water and pour in the hot to the tolerance level.
