    Rocky Point or Baja Vacation

Ghettoization? When you look at Sunnyslope, 19th and Northern, Maryvale, etc. used to be mostly middle income blue collar neighborhoods. Decent places to buy a home and raise a family through the 60's to the 80's. In the 90's, this started to change as the neghborhoods became more Mexican in...

    Sewer smell in bathroom

Where is the smell coming from exactly? Sink, shower, toilet? Both the sink and toilet should have traps (the piping is U-shaped which holds a seal of water to keep smells and such from creeping back through the piping. The shower likely does not have a trap. You can cut down on the smell by...

Fishing off the jetty near Wrecked on Sandy Beach

To my knowledge, they do not. The entrance was fenced off and there was a security guard that would run you off, from my understanding. I don't know what the current situation is because the project hasn't seen an activity for awhile that I'm aware of. Maybe somebody that's been there recently...

    The Last Vaquita?

That's great for the 9 to 5 type of enforcement. The gill netters all work from 9 to 5, too. But the opposite shift under the cover of darkness.

Can anyone tell me the condition of the road into La Pinta from K32 ??

Air'em down BEFORE you hit the soft sand and run north to the shells or south towards San Jorge. La Pinta is a beautiful beach and I've run it end to end and caught lots of nice corvina there.

    Jet Ski Under a Grand

Looks like you're on top of it! A little mechanical ability goes a long way and doesn't lighten the wallet so much. I used to do all my own service on my Yamahas. That way, I knew they were done right. Your lake test will be key. Good luck, looks great!

    Ultra low sulphur diesel

And therein lies the problem. Audi has a 100 gallon stainless fuel tank mounted in the bed of his truck and has been turned around at the border when it's been full. He had to sell it for a buck or so a gallon to empty the tank before he could cross. Apparently a big no-no to bring fuel across...

    Sending Money to Mexico

Yeah, they've kind of had the market cornered on this for a long time and could charge whatever they wanted. Like I said, I don't know what fees will be involved at this point, but I'm thinking the convenience factor will be huge!

    Sending Money to Mexico

Some of you may know I work for a bank, BBVA Compass. We are a global bank and BBVA Bancomer is the largest bank in Mexico. This came across my email today and I wanted to share it with all here, since it's huge news and can save all of you a lot of time, money, and effort if you currently (or...

For sale: 2005 Chaparral Signature 240

You don't actually néed the TIPS at Sonoita, but it makes life easier. San Carlos? Si. You have to have it. I went through hell with them because I only had a copy of the title for the trailer. Who carries the real titles around with them? Had to wait for the "official" inspector. He strolled...

    Scorps on the beach

Not just snakes and scorps, but fish, too. One of my favorite fish to cook whole is huachinango (red snappers). I always gill and gut them fresh, but leave the scales and head on, then vacuum pack and freeze a couple of them for a yummy meal at a later time. We stuff the gut cavity and head...

    Scorps on the beach

That snake was seen on Google. I've never seen a snake in Penasco. I was simply looking for something that fit what JimMc was describing with "Mexico." And I don't chop snake's heads off, either. Although that's a common reaction from nearly everyone. "GET THE SHOVEL!!!!"

    Scorps on the beach

I can never remember that when I'm confronted by a snake, so I usually just chop it's head off immediately to be on the safe side. :killin:
