    Money stolen at border

Seagal, it’s sort of like leaving your purse at the gas station. Whoever finds it might or might not be tempted by the $200 inside. But . . . that's the risk of leaving a purse at, say, a gas station. Ckyevanjay, it’s not odd at all. Random stops south of the border heading northward have...

What are the wait times for Memorial day weekend, for going to Mex and returning?

At 1:30 today (Saturday) southward -- no wait. Northbound -- about 15-car wait. Trafficky both ways, though.

    Sharks off the Beach

Thing is, smaller species like nurse sharks that are not aggressive sometimes cruise the shallower, warmer waters near the beach, while the evil ones stay in the deeper, colder waters out around bird island.

    Refrigerator in RP

Got a stainless GE from Muebles Coloniales about a year ago. Better priced than at Sam's -- at least back then. (One block before Benito Juarez on Constitution. Same street as Super Ley but 5 -6 blocks south of it.

    Asparagus

Devoured about the same amount yesterday after a trip from town. They're also great tossed in garlic and oil, and thrown on the grill for maybe 3 minutes per side for a little char.

Huge loads of “stuff” on pickups headed to Mexico.

I’ve wondered the same. I mean, how do you get by with, “Three days, officer”?

    Paying taxes 2019

Apparently depends on which day of the week and time of day. But even with the full house that we experienced, it was only, say, half an hour . . .

    Old Port Restuarants

If he's house trained and civil (not an obsessive barker), why not leave him at the condo? I leave mine at the residence when I head to town. She sleeps.

Have the whales come back yet?

They're usually due around February-ish. We asked staff at Casa Del Capitan (where they get a birds eye view), and they've seen nothing yet.

    Lost Dog in Los Conchas

Well, but, hungry coyotes during a full moon can get a bit wild. Had hoped this story would have a good ending . . . so glad to hear.

    Shark Incident

Yikes. What is nice about Penasco for visitors is the relatively warm, shallow waters along many beaches where those predators don't lurk. But way out there in the deep waters of Isla San Jorge, it is a different story.

    Turtle hatchings 2018

Between Dorada and Miramar. Hearsay, but the one who told he came upon it is well-known . . credible . . .

    Turtle hatchings 2018

Oh, never mind. A neighbor says he found a dead hatchling in tire tracks in the sand yesterday.

What are the chances the Gov't will close Lukeville?

Yep -- We gave him our business for many of his window-cleaning years, and -- after learning that he now merely stands with cup in hand rather than squeegee because his remaining arm has become arthritic -- we continue to acknowledge him.

    Turtle hatchings 2018

Here's hoping the yahoos keep their vehicles off the beaches this season. . .

New Penasco airport or Mayan airport

Based on personal observation, I believe that it is being used by private and military. Have not observed commercial. I did get the guards -- a few years back, when a few charter flights were running -- to let me enter to visit the terminal. Nice place. Apparently the "massive investment...

    I'm guessing that it is a result of all the rain . . . . flooding . . . . decay . . . perfect breeding grounds.

TRUMP Threatens to close US Mexico Border

I would venture to say that the vast majority of folks agree and appreciate your efforts, Stuart (and Tyler). Only a few – who given rules and regs, and who sign on to those rules and regs -- then ignore the rules and regs. They interpret lack of response / argument to be acknowledgement of...

TRUMP Threatens to close US Mexico Border

For those apparently trying to make a (political) point, I’ll refrain from responding on how immigration stats have absolutely nothing to do with existing law. Totally moot. After all, that would be a political argument, which is prohibited.
