    Problems on the U.S. Side

Well-said and well-reported, Russ. Thank you. Joe, I don't begrudge you one bit for suspecting I caused my own problems. Crossed the border off and on for 25 years or so myself without incident, and I'd have suspected the same 3 months ago as you do today.

I'm "glad" your travels have gone well, Joe. Most of mine have, too.

    Problems on the U.S. Side

Thanks, Eduardo. I've been advised to do the same, and have done enough research into it now to know that I should indeed record encounters and will take measures like that and others to protect myself. I was naive about law enforcement, but I'm not now. I'm also soliciting guidance from...

Las Conchas Burglary Ring Busted Guard Arrested.

Just been a homeowner for a few months, but I'm starting to understand that the Brown Management guard system at Conchas is frequently corrupted. Encanto, too from what I hear. I'll never leave anything I love there unattended, and will tell my unattended wife who's there now to do the same.

    Roger and PH special engagement!

It truly was. I was annoying my date by singing along and slipping "Transistor" into "All Over the Radio".

A cemetery? Then must've meant "Boos All Over".

Luckily, there was also "N", about where Latitude is: "Booze All Over".

    A warm and fuzzy thread

Love to you both...you know, in a dude way. GV, I've posted some of my finest scores on your courses and done a ton of biz projects in Green Valley and love the place. And Russ, I'm not talking about herding the haters back into the flock. I'm talking about keeping the redeemable ones in. In...

    A warm and fuzzy thread

Awesome, Russ. And I understand and believe your quite learned 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 assessment of the Gringo populace's inclinations toward Penasco. But watching from both Penasco and Phoenix since the shootings and home invasion, reading Forum posts, combing articles from San Diego to New York, and...

    Violence Report goes National

The morning the article hit, I got a call from a prospective renter of a vacation cabin I have near Prescott, AZ. The young woman said, "My girlfriends and I were going to Rocky Point next week, but everyone's getting killed down there now. Is your cabin available instead?" I'd have liked to...

    Highway from Sonoita Flooded

Tried posting 3 times earlier, but the forum software wouldn't recognize me. Sonoyta River crossing was fine at 4:00--water passing harmlessly though the culvert. 2 hour delay south of Why, though, due to flooded wash crossings. Many turned back to Peñasco due to "4 hour" rumors. Then all...

Northbound at Pinacate. Radar and sky ahead look apocalyptic. Ate all the bottles, Perro.

    Highway from Sonoita Flooded

Headed across in a couple hours, so Johnny555 or whoever, really appreciate any further update. Got a good, overland-setup SUV. But also the wife and kids inside, so the biz meeting I have in NM tomorrow isn't THAT worth it. Joe, Jerry, Kenny, Perro, go easy with comments about the wife and...

    Highway from Sonoita Flooded

10:00 this morning, single lane so each direction was taking turns under police direction. Backhoe working to remove the downstream side of the low-water crossing surface, presumably to replace the concrete. 15 minute wait southbound, but northbound backup looked a little worse.

The Ballad of Ajo Jail (With apologies to Wyle, Schwartz...and Gilligan) Just forum-up and you'll read a tale A tale of a fateful trip That started from our fishing port Then led him to get stripped The Mate was nearly forty-six Yet handsome, tall, and lithe Four passengers strewn in the...

    Problems on the U.S. Side

Tedram, just to answer your questions for everyone's benefit: They didn't administer the FST, I think because I answered (honestly) that I was a little sore from beach football the previous day. No HGN was administered. My last drink was around 9:30 the night before, and the citation was at...

    Problems on the U.S. Side

Tedram, I'm feeling you. I held law enforcement officers in the highest regard until 10 days ago. I felt if I were doing nothing wrong and I treated them with respect, all would work out well. A certain libertarian friend always told me I was a Pollyanna, but I maintained that I wouldn't...

    Problems on the U.S. Side

I got thrown into a US jail for having 4 pieces of trash in the back of my truck. On the bright side, a lot of the pages of the 2010 People magazines in there came right apart...
