In all fairness I have wanted to get to that spot, I had seen it on the satellite images that I constantly scour just never saw the path, nor knew there was a place to park.

Mexico Joe, I work hard at trying NOT to be the normal trash and dash tourist down there. I wish I could spend more time than I get to down there.

Maybe you and Lucky Chucky could give me a chance/break on this one?

There is usually a ultralite at the entrance to Unconscious. They will take you out and drop you off for a fee !! Not. At reported already, use andy of the methods suggested. Could prolly just say goin fishin and they would let you through. For a day trip experience the Marua does not compare to La Pinta, but if you wana be a pansy ass go to Marua.

Very cool, the group wants to head south for some adventures this time. We will be there for 2 days before the rest of the crew. I am barely able to contain myself now.

Saw something very cool off of the upstairs patio at my house on Pinto Pt, today.
While we were working on some corroded stuck shut patio doors we spotted what we thought was
a 12-15ft whale or a couple of large dolphins about 100-150 yards out. We watched it for 5 minutes and it looked like it was feeding but no
blow spout plume. Humm,
We got the binoculars and watched it and turned out it was a pretty big shark feeding on schools of fish.
Definitely in the 12-15 foot range and it had a rounded dorsal fin with a large tail.
Never seen that happen close to shore before. out on a boat a few times.
My son who usually goes for a swim in the afternoon decided to pass on it today. LOL

I wonder if it could have been a small whale shark. They have a rounded dorsal fin and a large tail and sometimes feed on small fish.

A whale shark? The shark had a slender head and was quite active turning it's head and body, very agile, it was twisting and turning every few seconds while feeding.
It was a dark grey color almost black without any spots.

Not a whale shark then. Maybe a really big Mako? Scary but really cool. I hope somehow fishing restrictions can be implemented over time and the SOC fish populations can recover to their original glory.
