Looking for a friendly shore.

We are heading down in 4 days. I do most of my fishing from shore and I am looking for a good spot to fish out at Cholla. But not really in the bay proper.
Anyone living on the South shore that would allow me and my buddy to use a trail down to the shore from their home or any suggested spots that are accessible that could pay off would be much appreciated.

Oyes amigo I will be there this coming week say weds is a good day, have real nice fishing spot (private beach) that the loco's can't fish, only problem is I charge 1 bottle of absolute and a 12 back of that new bud amber 6%, be well worth it, have references, don't waste your time fishing public area's, fish left Penasco years ago.

Hehe, under consideration.
There's a few people on here that drive over the big dune past Tesorro and fish the estuary, They show some good fish when they post, never seen anyone show there catch from pinto point, stream passes to fast and carry's you right to Tucson Beach is what buckly tells me that swims the area.

Well, we are going to be there for 5 days so I am planning on hitting several places. I have not fishes the estuary out there yet.
The fishing activity is supposd to be very high for all 5 days we are there. So I am pretty excited.
Thanks for the replies perro.

Hey Playa is there a way to cross country it to the neighborhoodz there in Las Conchas, or a person I can say I am going to see to get past the guards and get down to Tessoro? Where we stay is only 5 minutes to the guard shacks but getting in is the trick.

You know what they do to liberals with fishing poles at the guard shack trying to get in, your gonna have to call Rosy to bail your asses out LOL.

Well, my fishing buddy is a very moderate honky right winger. Maybe that will confuse their radar.
Is there a secret handshake?

Damn man. I mean isnt fishing the one thing we have in common.
The man is still in charge, no matter where you go there you are, or they are.... Hmmm.
I just wanna catch some fish lol.

Here's Kelney's 2 cents for what it is worth...

It is pretty rocky back there. Where footwear that provides protection for the feet but is also water friendly. Beware of the black algae on the rocks. It's a little like black ice. Also bring 2X the amount of lures you think you need.

Las Conchas is not hard to get into. Just state that your staying in section (1-8) and lot (X) and they will give you a placard and you are good to go. As long as your gringo and you act like you belong there then they do not question you to much;) Or just state your visiting Roberto! Honestly I think the fishing is better in the Cholla area or behind competition hill. Take Calle N (if I remember correctly) until it dead ends to get back into the circled area on the map. See my report from March on how to get back behind the hill. PM me if you need further clarification. A 2 wheel drive can make it back there fairly easy. Getting to the estuary East of Tessora needs a 4 wheel drive that is good in the sand or deflate your tires. Otherwise, bring a shovel, lunch and probably a 12 pack. My 4X4 is somewhat of a pig in the sand but deflate my fat tires and I can get out of there without too much problem. Getting in is easy, getting out is not.

May the wind God bless you with calm waters. Have fun!
