When is the storm/hurricane supposed to hit Penasco?
Can you use the road in from the Mayan if things flood out?I think our house can weather it- I'm just worried about the people in the cardboard houses. I'm happy about the rain, but hope all the locals are OK.
Oh my goodness! thats crazyCheck out the airport in Cabo after the storm http://fox5sandiego.com/2014/09/15/hurricane-odile-lashes-cabo-san-lucas/
A good thunderstorm during Boomerbust would have made all the Woodstockers feel right at home. Peace, love, music, & mud.!Good thing they cancelled Boomerfest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tuesday PM through Thursday. The worst of it on Wednesday, forecasting 3.5+ inches total for the storm. When is the storm/hurricane supposed to hit Penasco?
Last year even the Mayan was cut off from the flood waters. When I entered Miramar we had to use the Mayan road as the Miramar road was toast. Eventually the running water took out the Mayan road also. I left just before the Mayan road washed out. My friends stayed an extra day and had to 4 wheel it several miles west down the beach and exited near Encanto. If the Caborca highway is flooded, we can't even get to Miramar. If we get past the 4 dips, and if the road to Miramar is wet, they route us through the paved concrete road through the Mayan.
Yep -- They even had to ferry the workers from Mayan to the Caborca Road for a day or so. They did run drainage pipes under (perpendicular to) the Miramar/Dorada Road back then (and I suppose the Mayan as well), so hopefully the roads will stay intact next time . . .Last year even the Mayan was cut off from the flood waters.
