Fiesta Cruiser is off the beach

Just heard from a friend that the Fiesta Cruiser is officially off the beach... it is in the entrance to the port over near the old docks that were built during Al capones days down here... I will see if I can get down there for photos later today...

Yeah... that would be nice... But I could just see all of those OPC guys trying to sell you a Ticket to Dive The Fiesta...

A few pics of the Fiesta Cruiser in it's current resting place.....would anybody in their right mind get on that bucket for a sunset cruise ever again? Put that bucket out of it's misery, tow it out to sea and make it a dive reef!!!

I was down there the other day and there was a guy onboard messing with a pump... the boat was mostly out of the water like in the photos above but that pump was spewing water like a fire hydrant...

And why does Sherman need to leave it sitting there looking like a SCAB on the entrance to the port..? I'm sure he made enough money off of that bucket of rust to put it in drydock at one of the shipyards... maybe he's affraid they would start to cut it up for scrap...

SINK IT or SCRAP IT... but don't leave that wreck to rust away in the entrance to the port... there is a tall rusty product of greed that blemishes that lanscape already...

Mark...you can't see it in the shot, but on #3 there was a continual stream of water coming out of the bottom of the hull towards the stern, when I took the shot.

That's a wonderful "sight" for any tourists that park in the free parking lot at the malecon!!

What's funny is our local gangbanging spray paint artists TAGGED that wreck just above the blue barrels that are welded to the hull (photo #3)... I wonder are those barrels and other objects welded on as extra boyancy devices to keep this skow from going under and into the abyss..?

What a joke....

Mark,he is seriously talking about putting back in the water as a tourist boat.

I wouldn't get on that bucket of rust without my own life jacket!!! And I know how to swim!

Look at the openings towards the bow....have to be very close to the water line....some rough water....and water just floods in!!

If he did get the Port captain to let him put it back into service that would be a legitimate reason for the media in the states to say it's not safe in Rocky Point...

Look at all the barrels and other "supports"/stuff sticking out of the hull that are welded on!

What a mess.........

Tourists beware!
Joe, whats wrong with welding barrel's on the side of your boat, maybe the swim platform on the back of the boat next to the slide won't go a couple feet underwater anymore, when he overloads the boat with tourist's.

I don't think they would help much with the drag, but maybe the barrels are there to help it get up into plane when he opens up those throttles...

Or it won't capsize when he puts all those people on the top deck.....he never goes fast enough to worry about drag from all those barrels!!!

Hey now I get it... maybe he came to his senses and when he said put it back in the water, he meant underwater like about 60 feet so it can be a wreck dive type of a tourist boat...

I still have this horrible vission of all of Shermans OPC's molesting vehicles as they drive into Old Port and they're all shouting "Hey Meestir, chew wanna buy a teeket to dive de Fiesta Cruiser"

Just saw these photos on FB...thanks to Stasha Noon and Plinio Rivero. Looks like last night's winds caused it to break loose...and now it looks like it's in the middle of the channel leading into the harbor!!!

The first(up against the breakwater) is further out from where it was about a month ago.....the last shot is the most recent (Fiesta 1.jpg)

Sheesh...when will this end?

Take it out 5 miles and sink it in 50 feet of water and lets dive it....This will bring divers from souther california and southwest to dive warm water in the summer time.
