I think I read where you guy's were going to have some give aways as incentives, but just what are they going to sponsor, and when? Russ is treating this thread as if was a hot potato, and he never started it.I can tell you that Sonoran Resorts will be one of the sponsors.
I knew darn well that the racers were NOT going to be hauling down their own fuel as you previously posted, but I also know that that's the least of Bob's and who ever else's worries. If we have a problem with Lukeville with the fuel I have a contact in San Diego that distributes race fuels to Mexico. The drums of Methanol are already sitting in Tijuana imported and all. Fuel will not be a problem.
Sonoran resorts is a major sponsor of the event as well as Playa Bonita Resorts and Sandy Beach Resorts since the race will be held out on the Sandy Beach area it will be a major boost in activity for these operators we are glad they are onboard. The new office will be open this week for Thunder on the beach. It will be right on Sandy Beach road as you are heading toward Las Palomas. Signing will be up next week but the office should be operational by the end of this week. If you are in town stop by. I have some pics to post of the operations and will get them up soon.
You're talking aviation fuel, we're talking Methanol racing fuel. We're talking aviation gas (109+ octane).

This is all so very familiar to me and others on this forum..You'll have a "operational" office and and some signage soon. You even have a poster with unauthorized pictures on it. That's all just fine and dandy Russ, but I think you might just have left a few things out. What about the track just for starter's, and who's going to be sanctioning the sprint cars etc? If you don't have a organization from the states to sanction those sprint car races it won't happen, period. If you think those guy's will haul down to Mexico on Bob's good name and a few extra bucks, you guy's are living in La La land. I'm not talking about sponsors Russ. who's going to sanction and run the show, and where's the track?
Kenny....I know what you're talking about for the sprint cars (or whatever you want to call them)...I'm talking AV gas for jetski racers! That's the info I've been trying to get for a while now...talking to the city....or asking on here! You're talking aviation fuel, we're talking Methanol racing fuel.

I started putting this deal out there to the dirt track racing community, not only here in AZ and Cali, but also nationally shortly after you first started this thread, but I only have what you have given me to go on... Sign's, posters, and a office without something to show for it is all to familiar in Rocky Point Russ.Based on what you have said then I guess we should just give up?? Homey dont play that game. There are many pieces to every puzzle (challenge) we are putting them in place one by one. Maybe I am living in la la land, time will tell. I will continue to do what I have been commissioned to do until someone with authority tells me to quit. Otherwise it is full steam ahead.or ramming speed or whatever else cute thing you want to say to show commitment to a product!
I know that. Yes, some race cars use high octane fuel, and so do jetski racers, but it's hardly a big problem, and nothing new.I'm talking AV gas for jetski racers!
Russ...are you saying that there is a supplier of av gas (109+ octane) in Penasco????? I know it's available at the new airport....but the city told me that it isn't available unless you're buying it for a plane. You can get that here too. No problem. I will send you a hook up on the San Diego supplier later
You need to get who ever heads up this group ( sanctioning body?) you're talking about to contact some of the other groups of people who have done it in the past to find out how the made it work for them... Hell no, you are not going to be hauling barrels of high octane fuel across the Sonora desert.Kenny...the availability in Penasco IS a problem. For endurance races (long distance) we're talking 50-100 gallons per ski...depending on the length of the race. I can just see them trying to bring 2 barrels over the border.....
