Bill, I got the whole enchilada (so to speak) right around $500 and am just starting it. I don't know if it copies, but I am sure there is some kind of copyright thing there...I like it a lot. No memorization and it just starts from the first CD with pictures, words, phrases..and has additional CDs to listen to in the car. I have taken classes before that focus on sentence structure and conjugating verbs, etc. but that is WAY too boring. This works very well for me, and my family members will use it as well. I think it was well worth the $, and you can get a less expensive version to get started. Hope that answers your question. I give it 2 thumbs up!
