Ridiculous

Is this because of more autos than normal pulling "racing" cars & the allotted maximum amount of fuel, per the exceptions due to the race this weekend?

Two of the divisions that are on the 2nd poster, Mini Sprints and dwarf cars run Motorcycle engines, so they shouldn't have a problem with fuel. Heck, they could get Chari to smuggle...never mind.

I hit the border at noon...line backed to end of gas station parking lot...took 30 minutes to cross...with a green light...saw nothing In terms of anyone towing race cars..heading out to the track to check it out...

I am in my Sprint car right now. Just did a few laps to check out the track. Dry Heat is riding with me as my navigator.

Was a little upset with the way my pit area was set up. The air conditioning in the hanger the promoter set up for all of us racers didn't work. Made my crew really cranky. They did enjoy their time in the swimming pool located on turn 8. The swim up bar service was outstanding and thier filet mignon was even better!

I have to offer one suggestion after running several practice laps today. I found the stadium seating to be a little close to the high speed lanes of the track. I am not sure the glass windows on the enclosed seating is clean enough for everyone to see me and Dry Heat win this thing.

The press box seems real nice but cant something be done about all of the network vans parked along turns 3 and 8? They all have their satellite antennas up on their trucks and it is a little distracting while racing by.

We hit the border about 11 this morning. There were 2 cars in line. Went to the duty free store to get "supplies", LOL and came back out and the traffic was backed up to the end of the gas station. Like the good little girls and boys we are, we went to the end and got in line since it did not involve making a u-turn towing a trailer. We were in line 20 minutes! Got to the Mexican side and the guy in front of me got a red light. He decides to make a run for it and the border guys chased him down in their pick-up. He was so confused that he stayed in the middle of the road for a few minutes with the border guys pick up boxing him in. Meanwhile we got the green light but were stuck waiting for him to move. He finally made a u-turn and went back to the border and we were off. Bwa ha haaaaaa, I got all my old and beloved wooden patio furniture set in. Now to sand and paint.......

it's any body's guess

There is no question that there should be some race cars coming down today, but because of the lack of proper information and promotion about this deal... It's any body's guess, Including customs, about how many, and from where.

On Friday afternoon, around 5:30pm there was a pick up truck with the body wrap of Thunder in the beach parked at the gas station facing the road but I was one of the the only 3 cars going south and customs had 2 lanes open to the south bound traffic!! is that an oxi-morron? 3 cars 2 lanes as compare to 20 cars one lane and if it is not can it be consider one? I like the sound of the word oxi-morron

PS: none of the other cars going south were race cars, although sometimes I do feel my van is one!!!
