Puerto Penasco Home Port

Quote-As to when construction might resume, “It’s all up in the air at this point,” Wendy said, “but the good news is, what goes up must come down, right?”

What a "cluster you know what" - This is organized as well as the Boomer non-fest was.

With this type of stuff happening is good news that it may never be completed.

A nice fish taco stand and fishing supply store would be perfect at the end of the Jetty.

Hey, all you negative nellies....there's good reason for the delay: the cruise lines have now let us know that our pier must reach further into the sea than originally planned to accommodate the deeper hull requirements of the larger, heavier mega ships. So plans are now being drawn up to extend the pier to accommodate the changes necessary to safely dock the larger ships anticipated by the cruise lines.

so now it needs be even further out? Last I heard, it was a mile out and then then dogleg for he dock.
I was thinking about it yesterday and wondering what sort of shuttle service would be available from ship to shore.
For a home port, no passenger would walk a mile with their luggage, and now they have to extend it out even further.

What does she mean what go up must come down? If it is not finished they will remove it boy what a no pay contract that would be LOL

Sounds like another perfect opportunity to plunder more money for those with their hands in the cruise port project budget.

The pic above is Priceless. Same engineers who did the Sandy Beach water depth study probably picked out the concrete work pattern.

It's just ridiculous to think, and an insult to everyone's intelligence, that engineering studies were not done before even one rock was laid to see how far out they had to go to accommodate the biggest ships. Boggles the mind.
Not to mention that the rock they did use and they way they were mixed with a lot of dirt and smaller rocks was just not how it's done and I could be seen that from my house!
