I would suggest anyone claiming to be looking for proof read back to Oct 12,13and 14 in this forum. Rosie Glover admitted receiving money into her personal account and not sending it to the insurer, resulting in the client having no insurance. Rosie Glover has also admitted receiving money into her personal account and phoney made-up policy numbers were created, resulting in the client having no insurance.
She promised details, including who in her office was responsible ( if not her alone). She promised refunds, and admitted all the money that did not belong to her was gone. We have heard no details in over a month. A few apparently got a cash refund of money she used for her own purposes for a year or more .

I know it can be hard to handle the truth.

Thanks for hanging in there Joan and believing in yourself, can be lonely on here vs the in crowd.

What a mess! The facts are clear the insurance company is incompetent. I'm glad nobody lost their home or spent time in jail over this mess. Thanks to this forum I think that may have been avoided.

Here are our facts - no guesses, no accusations, just the facts:
1. Two separate condo/homeowner policies with Mapfre through ProAlliance 7 months apart. Neither was paid, and both policies were cancelled without any notification to us from the insurance carrier or from Rosy.
2. Contacted Rosy when this info first came to light (about a month ago now) and she indicated that our policies were paid, and we were fine.
3. Contacted Mapfre directly after hearing from another homeowner that their policy was invalid (about 2 weeks after speaking with Rosy) - and was told that our policies had been issued, but never paid, and therefore cancelled.
4. Contacted Rosy to ask about this, and she said she was doing an audit, but hadn't gotten to our policies yet (the reason we hadn't been notified) and she offered us new policies or a refund - we took the refund. At that point she lost our confidence.
5. I have been trying to confirm that our Auto Insurance is valid - Rosy says it is, but since she also initially said our homeowners policies were fine, I would like confirmation from the carrier. They have been unable / unwilling to confirm. No response to emails, no response to phone calls, and finally someone in the claims department told me that they couldn't provide that information. Doesn't mean they aren't valid, just means I have no way of finding out unless I make a claim.
6. Received refund for homeowners policy from Rosy about a week ago.

The only reason I posted this in this thread was just to inform others that they should check their policies. I believe that's the benefit of these types of forums, to share information that may be important / helpful to others.

Rosy - if you would like to discuss any of our specific policy info with me, I prefer you do it via PM or email, not on a public forum. Thank you.
This is a great way to post information, just the facts and how you handled it. Thank you.

We have had our homeowners insurance with Portugal for 13 years. Never a problem, but never had a claim. Renewed in June, on time, $827 check payable to General de Seguros, SAB, mailed to a PO Box in Lukeville. Received a paid in full receipt from Portugal a few weeks later & confirmed the check had cleared the account. In August we received an expiration notice from Portugal saying if we wanted to renew send $827. Didn't respond since I had documentation of payment. Yesterday received another expiration notice saying policy expired 09/14/14 & if we wanted to renew send $827! Interesting how the expiration date keeps changing on the same policy. Clerical error? Fishing for a double payment? Who knows. Plan to purchase an Ace policy from ProAlliance in June.
Followed the advice posted here as well and emailed General de Seguros about the cancellation notice received about our homeowner's insurance from our agent Portugal Insurance. They responded within 24 hours saying thank you for asking & we will look into it. After a week, no more responses so I emailed them again. No reply whatsoever. Pointless to email them a third time. I have a paid receipt & a cancelled check to back it up so if I have a loss I assume I will suddenly have a policy. Real strange way of doing business! SMH

Due to the some of the informative non-wonderful comments made here, I decided to e-mail GPN.
They verified that my Pro Alliance GPN DL policy is valid. Now I can sleep at night.;)
Another +1 for Pro Alliance.:) I did make the check out to Rosie.

Per Dry Heat and other posts suggested if you have doubt's verify your policies.
I suggest that rather than spewing non-factual crap here,
if you have issues contact Rosie via PA and report the results.

As much as I hate to say it something still isn't right. At first I was on one side of this issue and now I have seen some things and read some things and see some inconsistencies - especially with names. What is up with that? I can't find any of those names in a lot of databases where you would think at least one would show up. Maybe I'm watching too much CSU or cop shows with weird twists but something still isn't right. Maybe I'm just dumb and I hope I'm wrong.. Time will tell.

Mrs Glover says no one has any reason to worry about trusting her with collecting money and putting into place something so very important as insurance. Therefore, I don't think a bit of a background check is out of line on someone so many want and need to trust. We all know even the lowest tier employee in any financial institution would be subject to a much more stringent background check than this:
She said earlier she had been a realtor and had owned a newspaper, and she mentioned Idaho and Texas. We request more information:
1. what was the name of the real estate company for whom you worked?
2. where was it located?
3. by what name were you known at the real estate office?
4. what was the name of the newspaper, and where was it headquartered?
5. do you have any misdemeanor or felony arrests or convictions ?
6. in what towns or cities in Idaho and Texas, or any other state, have you resided?
7. can you provide the names of 2 or more references in USA who can vouch for your business history?

It's Halloween ....... Let's start a WITCH HUNT.

It has been over a month Rosie Do you have anymore information for the forum as to what happened with the 2014-2015 policies? I ask because then I would be interested in what happened with my 2013-2014 policy which was cancelled for non payment but I was never notified.

No one has reported any contact from her in 3 weeks. Her silence is disturbing if she is innocent. If she is working hard on her audits to make amends to her clients she took a lot of money from I think she would have told us long before now.
If anyone knows she is still in Rocky Point please let us all know so folks don't conclude the worst about recovering any of their losses.
Rosie Glover: you were a pillar of the community. Where are you, and what are you doing?
