State Civil Protection Unit (UEPC) recommended extreme caution for navigation on the coasts of Sonora by winds and waves that cause the passage of the cold front number 51 by the entity.
The director of the UEPC, Carlos Jesus Arias, said the cold front is in transit through northern Baja California and Sonora, associated with a low pressure trough located over the Gulf of California and the jet stream.
He noted that in some cases the winds reach 55 mph, mainly in the upper Gulf of California, off the Gulf of Santa Clara, off the coast of Puerto Peñasco and Caborca northwestern state.
The cold front cloudiness generate most of the company, with slightly higher at nine degrees centigrade, especially in the mountains and the municipalities of the US border minimum temperatures and east of the entity.
Moreover, Arias denied that the coast of Sonora this natural phenomenon known as swell, predicted to occur in the Pacific region in the coming hours.
"The swell is south of Sinaloa, in our case the surf is by the jet stream and cold front number 51, so the recommendation to the fishermen of small boats," he said.

Weather will be very pleasant for Memorial Day weekend. Mid 70's just amazing.
I used to be the one that was constantly whining about the wind and not being able to find a break in the forecast to plan a trip. Been true April/May for the past several years. I've seen it be blowing like the dickens in Penasco and dead calm at the 51. But as a general rule, if it's blowing too hard to leave Penasco, it's only going to be worse 10 miles out.

Yup very windy today. Can see the waters churning up a cloud underwater. Gonna take a nap maybe get a line in later.
Had a good run at high tide outside JJs yesterday.
Met a guy called Chino, older than me, with niece and nephews visiting. He lives in Cholla, but anyways I let the kids fish my gear. I caught 2-9" triggers and 8 sand bass between 8 and 12" and he kept them.
Wife caught a 12" long Ray, and the last fish I caught was a 14" Bullseye puffer. I was gonna throw it back but Chino wanted it. Says he knows how to prepare them. He was pretty happy to have that... Cool.
So we sent him and the kids off with a bucket of fish, was a good time and very nice group of people.
Being in the water near the shore kicked my wife's ass though. Lol.
I slipped a couple times and got a little beat up too. But a lot of fun.

Just got home after four days in PP. Managed to get out of the port just once, Saturday afternoon, for a little trollin up to Pelican Point. Ran the reef a few times, first hit was a eight pound Broomtail Grouper in sixteen feet of water! Got two good sized Sierra's and a dozen or so Spotted Bass. Saw several Eagle Rays jumpin six feet or more along the reef. Had a pod of ten Bottle Nosed Dolphins follow us all the way along Sandy Beach. Sea temp was 83 degrees. Lots of Sargasso paddies three or four miles out, should make for some good offshore Dodo action in a few weeks.
Sea conditions really sucked. The wind blowin chop one way and sets of six to eight foot swells from the other way. Max safe top speed at 7 mph for the run back to the port.
First bloody decks of the season on my little tuna boat.
That eve we had two thick garopa fillets breaded with that Kellogs Corn Flakes Empanizador and cooked in coconut oil that made for some good eatin.
Tonight the Sierra steaks will be in my mesquite filled smoker.
Talked to a guy at Safe Marina who said they were already getting Leopard Groupers off of the Homeport rocks. We couldn't get in that close due to the cresting swells.

Wood Spinner, That was just a snip out of a screen from Weather Underground forecast.
I use the snipping tool in Windows 7- 10 to do that.
I find that WU isn't very accurate with forecasts either.
