Looking to buy a hand held gps

Was not sure if this should be fishing or general.
I am looking at hand held GPS units to use on my little pontoon boat. As I get dumped sometimes comming in it has to be waterproof. Does not have to be fancy. I want to keep the price under $ 200.00. I like the Garmin units because of the mark button makes it easy to use. The GPSMAP 76 is $ 185.00 on Amazon. Does anyone have any experience with one of the cheaper units like this ?
Thanks for any responces and help.

Yuppers - Garmin 76 CSX. Purdy cheap right now. It's my hand held and it can zoom a lot closer in than my big Standard Horizon unit on the boat. I have an older green screen version I'll give you, but it freaks out every now and then (seems to be a hardware issue). That's why I got a newer version and it's been reliable.

I bought a Garmin Etrex Vista HCX for like $250 from REI. Overall I think I had higher expectations. The map it comes with is pretty rudimentary all though it is nice for marking gps locations for fishing. I believe it was water proof which was nice. The only down side from what I can see with Garmin is that you have to buy maps for the device and they run about $100 per.... be aware.
