Let's get more Likes than Fox 10 Rick D'amico <-- click the link to visit the page

When this page reaches more Likes than the page of Fox 10's Rick D'amico, I will donate $200 to "Esperanza Para Los Ninos" childrens home... after we reach that first goal we'll work on getting an apology from D'amico to the people of Puerto Penasco, and if he refuses then we can talk with the sponsors of that station...

Please visit this page and feel free to post your story and photos... but please keep it civil, we don't want to bring ourselves down to his level...

OK... OK... Rocky Point Fans... I want this donation to go to the Esperanza Para Los Ninos childrens home, so to stir up more interest... I'm upping the amount to $300 if we can reach our goal (latest count 7,433) and have more LIKES than the page for Fox 10's morning newscaster Rick D'amico by Thursday March 15th 12 noon Rocky Point Time...

At that time if the goal is not reached I will automatically donate the original $200. to "Esperanza Para Los Ninos"

that latest count is the count of the people that like him... I know it's a big number to surpass but if we don't try we'll never know... and besides the kids are going to get the money anyway...

Anybody with FB...go check out Rick D'Amico's page....and the exchanges going on over there....BTW, he called me corrupt!!!....I've been called a few things in my life (right Jerry??) :rofl:....but never corrupt!

and he calls himself a "journalist"!

I just did my part. The guy on 12 news this morning made it clear that the warning really only applies to "certain regions of Mexico" and he didn't think Rocky Point was in those regions. We all need to write to "Student Body Travel". They are the ones who are making a huge issue out of this.

I just wrote a long message to him on his FB page.

Student Body Travel has stated they themselves have zero issues with Rocky Point and it is completely safe. But due to the media bashing Rocky Point, they are worried they will be sued in the rare instance something happens. They don't want to be liable.

I think student body travel was more concerned with the fact that the media scares away ticket sales and the travel company has to book a certain number of rooms in advance and guarantee payment of those rooms. It is easier to cancel the whole trip (although not professional) than to work hard and push it to the end and make the trip happen anyway. There will be another company to take their place if they continue this type of practice, this is about dollars and cents.

Yeah, its a lot easier to spew hate when no one can respond, I understand why he wishes he didnt have a FB account it makes you responsible!

Oh by the way it also proves he cant spell. Look through his post, its embarrassing. I mean I cant spell but I am not in journalism.....

this shows the power of social media. look how much was accomplished by many here without having to spend any money. all it took was various members to state their opinion on the subject to the point that this newscaster took note not only on his visible FB site but also on the local tv newscast. further comments by others on his FB account will probably serve better than other campaigns. I know as a business owner, reviews and comments on social media sites have a much more profound effect than the old way of complaining or bringing up a concern.

That is so true. It's the first thing I do when I am buying a product or a service - I read the reviews. It can make or break a small business!
