Keeping in mind the success of the Kastmaster and that for most part all silver or silver with some blue does the trick. Does anyone know what baitfish the Corvina think we are offering them?
At time's I like to rip it once or twice right after it hit's the water by yanking the pole sideway's while reeling. I think this slight hesitation between rips gets their attention because it looks like a wounded fish in trouble, and they seem to hit it right after that when I start cranking fast. Ric on the other hand is smooth, and catches lot's of fish that way. Like Bahia says, when these guy's come in to feed, it's on! It's just a matter of getting the lure in their zone. One time I kept changing lures when it was hot and heavy trying to find something that wouldn't work, never did. Have you fished for white bass, Strippers, Lg mouth etc that feed on schooling Shad? Same thing, only salt water. Most lures and heavy casting spoons you use for those fish will work as well, with Kastmasters being the favorite for a few reasons, one big one being they cast well.what kind of action do you put on the kastmasters? just reel in slow or fast? let it sink or keep it towards the top of the water?
