Grouper Fishing June 16-17

I took Jeff Wolf and his 8 year old daughter out fishing on Friday and headed out by myself on Saturday. The inshore grouper bite was hot. We caught 7 gulf grouper to 85 lbs, 5 leopard grouper to 20 lbs, and 1 pinto on live bait and scampi jigs in 100' to 130' of water. My arms are still sore.

Looks like you got the the luck of the draw with the flatest day of the year as well.

Sr. Garopa must be thinkin about being slabbed out, breaded in a cornflake batter and fried in coconut oil.

Nice! Given the heat of late and what I'm seeing for temps in Penasco right now, battling those bad boys had to be brutal. But I know you... it could be the very fires of hell itself and you'd still be fishing!
