Giving up on a larger boat

WELL WE HAVE DECIDED THAT DUE TO THE COST OF A BOAT AND RELATIVE SECONDARY COSTS PLUS MY AGE AND HEALTH THAT WE SHOULD JUST CHARTER.
As long as you guys will tollerate us and are willing to take us out, for a fee, that is what we will do. Figure 15,000 for a boat, upkeep, fuel, storage, and more and launching likley to be at least another 25,00 to 35,000 over the life of the boat less the value of the boat 10 years from now and we are looking at 30,000 plus actual cost. Well that equates to more than 80 trips out. Plus it is a lot easier.

That is a long time at 1 or 2 times a month 7 months a year.
Going down ? Need a couple of more people to share costs? Give us a call

Thanks all

With all the friends you have made on the forum you shouldn't have any problem going out whenever you want Bill.

There is really only one advantage to being Master of your own vessel, and that is you get to decide where the boat will be fishing on any given day...

of course the flipside to that is that you are also responsible for all bad choices... :)
