Went down on Saturday afternoon and out fishing on Sunday. Buoyweather was spot on, but I didn't trust it. Water temps at 65 degrees right now. Opted to fish north (the direction of the swell) rather than head south to the 51 and risk the wind coming up instead of laying down. Lumpy in the morning, no bait to speak of close in, plenty of macks and sardines at the 16.
Headed up to the 18, no takers. Headed to the 23, one white seabass, about 20 lbs. Over to Huevos and some other reefs in the area. Discovered a new reef I didn't have marked near the 23; depth comes up to about 75 ft. Caught two pintos at 25 and 18 lbs on our 1st drop. Nice fat fish!
Headed back in on flat seas about 4:30 - in the harbor just after 5:00. The days are so short right now. Town is absolutely dead. Pulled right up to the border about 9:30 this morning; "have a nice day" and we were home by 12:30.
