So this guy named David Rush is in town this week to film different aspects of Puerto Peñasco for his website www.davidrush.net. He is working on getting his own travel show on one of the major travel networks. He has hired Penasco Recreation to take him on a tour of the town from the south end to the North end, on this tour we will visit the Pinacate visitors center, the oyster bed, different spots in town and of course Cholla Bay with a end of the day at JJ's.

I have opened 10 seats in my van for this trip and am offering a one time only price of 12 bucks per person to join us on this tour. Normally this is a 20 dollar trip per person minimum 8 persons.

If you want to go you need to let me know right away as I am really only going to let 10 people go!

Thanks

Even though Who, What, When, Where Why and How, is the first thing your taught in high school journalism, I see those important things omitted all the Time Russ. I've seen extravagant posters for a events for instance with the date prominent, but it doesn't tell you where it's at. I'd guess that Roberto has a story or two about how lapses like that has cost someone big $$bucks.

Your Welcome.

We weren't planning to invite anyone else until the last second. My wife said why not invite a few to go to pay for gas? So I put this up in a hurry - normally I am more planned out than this but it is what it is. We have 3 going so far and I am sure we will be sold out tomorrow and its you're welcome! lol

Russ, Give this guy some Color to talk about. Tell him about the History of RP, the shrimp and Fishing capital of the Sonoran Desert, the Sail Fish that everyone came to catch, (in the 50's)the history of RP in its hey day, the Rock pools off the malecon. (ala San Francisco; All Capones hotel etc....

Saw some of his 700 plus vids on you tube and he is dry, This is this and this is that...NO COLOR, no background or history of what he is showing. The DC (Washington monument) one, he focuses on the brinks pans and nothing about why they look different at certain levels, how Gov ran out of money because of the Civil war, how after they decided to finish this and that is why the Granite is different after a certain level. He clearly shows it on film, but NADA, No Color. His dialogue is; we are here and this is that; and then we went here; and now we are here... ack! COLOR PLEASE, for a travel Vid you need to add to the picture, background of what you are watching or it get old very fast.
Thanks for the advice, I am going to try and give him some color. I will probably talk his head off we will see what he comes up with!

We had a great trip today with a couple of extra people thrown in at the last minute. A couple that joined us are Forum members and told me it was the highlight of their trip to Penasco. David shot a lot of video and learned a lot about the desert biosphere that we uniquely have in Penasco. We went out to the oyster farm to continue our learning of estuaries and how important they are for us and everything that lives in the sea of Cortes' (oh yeah we ate steamed and raw oysters too). We went out to Cholla Bay our "little drinking village with a fishing problem" and had a great little while on the back deck at JJ's cantina. All in all a great day! Thanks to Laura who almost didnt make the trip but caught us on the way out of the parking lot at Maxes Cafe. Check out Joses (JJ's Cantina) site on facebook and of course it would be great if you join my facebook page there is always fun stuff going on there.
