Hermosillo, Sonora, August 7, 2021. After 19 deaths and 440 COVID-19 cases confirmed, Health Secretary Enrique Clausen Iberri invited the entire population to come to vaccinate as much as possible earlier to reduce Covid cases, avoid becoming seriously ill or hospitalized for this disease.
′′ The vaccine is contributing to lowering severe disease and also deaths; how many deaths could have been avoided if we had the vaccine available?", he said.
Regarding statistical data this Friday, 79 thousand 205 people have recovered in Sonora; 15 Covid patients were discharged; 19 deaths confirmed in 10 women and 9 men Residents of Cajeme and Hermosillo five each; Guaymas four; Benito Juárez, Splice, Etchojoa, Navojoa and Puerto Peñasco each; rights of IMSS 16, Ministry of Health three; accumulating 6 thousand deaths.
440 new cases of Covid are added in 236 women and 204 men; 90 thousand total cases are combined in residents of Hermosillo 155; Cajeme 124; Splice 42; Guaymas 35; San Luis Rio Colorado 17; Navojoa 15; Puerto Peñasco 13; Bacum nine; Caborca and Nogales five each; Nacozari de Garcia four; Huatabampo and Magdalena three each; Cananea, Santa Ana and Ures two each; Prieta Water, Etchojoa, Pitiquito and Suaqui Grande each.
10 paediatric cases were confirmed in six girls and four boys, accumulating 2 thousand 180 cases in total; and four cases in pregnant women, with 636 total cases accumulating.
Of the 440 confirmed cases on this day, four were in health workers from various institutions.
