You have a few different options, Clayton.
1. I've never fishing with him, but I've heard nothing but great things about Tom who runs a fishing charter out of Puerto Lobos, which is a little south of RP. His contact info is "fishlobos.com or call him at 602 526 3343". If you search this website or do a web search you'll find a lot of info about his charter business.
2. In RP just before you enter the Malecon (which is the primary tourist street that has a lot of restaurants and tourist shops) on the right near the public boat launch there are always a lot of locals with boats who are always available to take you out. Most of them do local day trips, I've seen a couple of em with nicer boats (center consoles) and they look like a lot of fun. Don't hire anyone with a small boat who's just gonna take you a few miles out, try and find someone with a bigger boat who can take you out to the areas 40-50 miles out where the good fishing is.
3. Go to Safe Marina which is the main marina in town. They're located just to the north of the commercial shrimp boats (you'll seen their sign on a big double gate) and talk with the guys working there. They're a great bunch of guys, they can hook you up with Felipe who's a local guide who speaks english and am sure they can help you out. I've gone out with Felipe a couple times in the last year and he knows the local area really well.
4. I live in Yuma which is about 2 1/2 hours away from RP, and I've fished the area for the last couple of years. I have a 26 foot boat and am dieing to get out in the next month or two, but am really tied up at work. I work 11/14 -11/16, but I am thinking of going out around Dec 3-7 or Dec 11-15 pending weather and work.
Thanks, good luck,
James.
