Cero Mackeral

caught this using one of Ric's silver minnow lures while sailing around Whale Cay in the Bahamas on feb 6, 2009.
we were sailing fron Guana Cay to Green Turtle Cay - went around Whale cay on Atlantic side when I hooked and landed this nice Cero -
check the lure hanging from it's mouth!

Looks like he gave you quite the blood shower. They remind me of the Sierra Mackeral we have. They look like they bleed the same anyways.

blood splattered all over me, and I enjoyed every bit of it.
quite the rush getting a fast fish on light tackle, and with the cat sailing at about 8 knots -
took some good sailing to slow the boat down - which he did somehow.
line sawed off as soon as it got lifted to steps at rear of boat - lure still hanging out it's mouth!
