Bringing back diesel...

Does anyone have info on limitations on bringing back Mexican diesel?

I've been bringing back a barrel on most trips (at about $2.14/gallon in Mexico vs. $4.79 in the US).....have occasionally been hassled, but not in recent months. Now they asked me how much I had....and when I asked about any limitations, the agent said there was a 118 gallon limit (including what was in your vehicle tank). Anyone know if there is something posted on the matter?

No answer, but I do have a question. Is it the same color as our highway diesel?

mexican diesel is the same color as highway diesel in the U.S. we get better mileage with it .

Are you saying that there is a difference in mileage between the Mexican and US diesel? I haven't noticed any...but you never know....

The Mexican diesel is not the ULSD (ultra low sulfur diesel) that is now being sold in the US (at least not the stuff being sold in RP). It should not be used in 2007 and newer diesels....which need the ULSD....or it will gum up sensors, etc. Mexico is supposed to have the ULSD, but it is not being sold everywhere yet....
