3 die in Peñasco over the weekend

1 drowning in Las Conchas and 2 die in an ultra light crash. The pilot and his passenger by Esmeralda resort. The pilot was very experienced but he was over 70 years old so it could have been a medical cause, it is under investigation. It was a tough weekend for many people. Any news on what the cause of the ultra crash was? Just speculating here. Age could have been factor. so could pilot error and equipment malfunction. Watched these guys fly for years. I flew ultralites for over 10 years in the states. Never went up with these guys. One of them I spoke to a couple of years back, was an older guy with an older ultralight made by now defunct Advanced Aviation, much like the single seater I flew. His was Two seater, side by side, not like the others. Just wondering.

the investigation is ongoing, pilot error is probably not a factor, he was very experienced, probably more likely age related health issues, we will see.

According to a few comments of people on Facebook familiar with the details, he had a heart attack mid-air. He was 76.
