It sounds like Jerry this group has settled in Altar, (according to El Sol de Caborca) so be careful going to south of Penasco as well.

I'm surprised by the number of Californians staying at the Mayan- it's usually over 50% looking at the the license plates. I guess I think San Felipe would be closer.

That's the same time as now- and I'm nervous about Sasabe (but also now about Sonoyta!) But the tacos are better in Sonoyta- El Serape, so we'll keep going that way.

I look forward to someday driving on the Mayan road- it will probably take an additional 20 minutes off our trip to Miramar but who knows when that will be a reality.

Maybe that's ours from 5 years ago when the college kids were lost and ended up in on the spit!

Our son just came back- he said it was really busy in town, which is great news!

Yes, the difference in price now can be huge but that's why we purchased in Miramar (rather than 2nd or 3rd row of Las Conchas) 16 years ago because the price was $30k for beachfront. We looked at Santo Tomas- Las Dunas but they were $60k (bigger lot, electrical included but longer drive)...

Jerry, for all the hassle (window cleaning, sand, etc.) I wouldn't trade being on the front row beach side for anything!! I'm addicted to the color of the water. Now when I come back to Tucson- I'm asking "Where's the Teal??"

We went down to the harbor, caught a panga, went out about 3 miles and saw the whales for about an hour. One was so close I could have touched it! I think the guys name was Abel, but it was about 3 weeks ago.
