What was in the Sea Today ?

I saw last weekend what looked like a red tide, but then it went away with the higher waves. I say red tide because the sea was so blue, but the dark area looked more redish in color. Also there were more dead birds (mostly small) on shore. I've only seen red tide once in Penasco.

Ours in Miramar is around $350/year as well from Scotia Bank.for the 50 year trust renewable in 2054. They don't have an office in Penasco, so the head of Bank Trusts from Hermosillo drives up for our Spring HOA meeting, and you can pay then w/ a bank receipt. Otherwise, you have to try to...

    Soooooo, how cold is it?

We had our fire going all weekend, but that North wind was really blowing on Saturday, less so on Sunday. It should be really cold this New Years and the weekend.

    Building Blocks, Home Port

"They started the name calling in this thread then act all hurt when it comes back at them." Jerry, I didn't think Russ's comment had any name calling- just stating the facts that you can call the town Rocky Point because that's the original name.

1000 miles south...scratch it off your list

My parents drove there and said it was an incredibly beautiful beach, but full of biting bugs. There's nothing that can talk me into visiting with those biting sand fleas and mosquitoes!

    Building Blocks, Home Port

When Hillberto said "I never call Puerto Penasco Rocky Point" because he didn't want to get lumped in with tourists, Russ responded that it was William Hardy in 1825 who first named the area Rocky Point. There was no need to start bashing him for that response- let's all chill out , especially...

    Fab weather for Turkey Day.

It was a beautiful Thanksgiving day- sunny, warm, with calm waters. The next day our son saw 18 sea turtles hatch and make their way to the water just east of Encanto.

    Satisfied Frog

I've never wanted a burger in Penasco- beef and shrimp tacos, shrimp cocktails or fish. You can't get better than that. But this is good to know if I ever am down for a while and need Cheeseburger in Paradise.
